  1. Per title what aftermarket rods will fit the OEM pistons? I.e accommodate the taper into the piston wrist pins

Before I get the why not throw forged pistons into the engine questions....., I’m looking at my options to build  a back up race engine that will run approx 300hp, using the existing pistons and rings will make life a little easier when it comes to a quick break in, plus keep costs in check given my own labour is free for the build,

saying all that depending on my options I might still go all out and pop pistons in there to future proof!

  2. I’m looking to build a forged engine and on the look out for parts, before I go and buy from a vendor I thought I’d post up a wanted

    Looking for the following:

    Carrillo Rods with carr bolts
    CP pistons (10:1 or higher)
    ARP case bolts
    ARP head bolts
    XP racing PmaxKote rod bearings
    XP racing PmaxKote main bearings
    Uprated valve springs, retainers, etc

I’m sure there are other engine build related things I might be interested in too so try me......

  3. I don’t post on here much but I can certainly speak to the quality of AP 6pots, I run a gt86 racecar and have completed >15 Trackdays now and still on my original Ferodo DS3000 pads and I assure you I am not easy on brakes. The 6 pots are expensive but the braking power is immense, the bias with 4pots on the rear is perfect and I rarely trigger the abs unless I get on them terribly late.

  4. Only saw this today so perhaps a little late but I’m based in Southern Ireland and had Mark at Abbeymotorsport do a remote tune on my trackcar after I installed a HKS supercharger, so it’s easily done with just a few data logs passed back and forth via e-mail.

I would recommend Momentum Motorsport in Lisburn too,  the owner Andrew has a Synergie V8 brz and I bought my GT86 race car off him. He will be able to sort out with anything you need and is well known for high end engine builds. He can also provide anything from Litchfield’s as he’s their Irish agent.
