Nothing will happen until Mark has an anti-fraud interview on Friday. Guessing this is because it's stolen recovered.

Police forensics were done on Saturday. Nothing found.

Really feel sorry for you both.

As if things are not bad enough. The Police find nothing and the criminals walk free to do the same again. You locate the car and it's Mark that get's interviewed for anti-fraud. Seems so often that the victim is the one that is treated like a criminal.

I’ve turned off the keyless entry already, you can do it with TIS software. I’m not sure I’d recommend it to be honest, having to place the key fob next to the start button every time you start the engine is a pain.

I gather from from your comment that turning off keyless entry on the 86 obviously isn't a solution to battery drain.

  3. Don't know if this is relevant but when I was talking to a Subaru dealer when I took the Forester in for a new battery he advised that the battery drain is caused by the keyless entry rather than the alarm. On the Forester you can disable the keyless entry to reduce the battery drain. Haven't checked yet to see if this can be done on the 86.

  4. Can you not get to the boot lock and unlock it to carry out a proper investigation by dropping the back seats?

Had a similar problem with a Toyota rental in New Zealand and I managed to open by dropping back seats only to discover that you had to depress the boot release button on the fob for about 3 seconds to open the boot, never used the fob to open the boot on the 86 so not sure if that is the same.

Tickets bought, but sadly will not be in the GT.  Julia has recently had fairly major surgery and soft suspension will be the order of the day.

Sorry to hear about Julia. Hope all is well and wish her a speedy recovery.

I agree it is better behaved. I find the steering feels a lot better too but not sure if that is down to the improved steering wheel.

Just been to the petrol station and a male customer came over to me and remarked my husband was brave to let me drive his brand new car.........ouch!!! :D

Thanks for that Louise you have confirmed what I thought about the behaviour and steering.
