Hi I've recently finished off my clay bar and the lubricant it came with cleaning a friends car ready for sale. The filthy piece hadn't even chucked a bucket of water at the poor car in her ownership she said it looks clean when it rains. But that's another matter.
Is the a preference of clay type brand of clay and type / brand of lubricant which works well together.
I've been using autoglym and although it works I'm overly impressed. It takes lots of effort to pick up everything on my car which is washed weekly and clayed and polished monthly.

Are these still around I have two gts needing pads in the new year. One staying purely in the road the other might do a round or two of the toyota sprint.

Hi all. I think I've found us a location for the next meet. How dose everyone feel about the horse shoe inn in high lane.
There are a number of fun roads around the location so getting to and from the pub should be good.
Here is a link the their website.
http://www.horseshoehighlane.robinsonsbrewery.com/
It's located near to Lyme park so the two mascots indie and roxy can enjoy themselves. Other mascots welcome.
As it's near to Christmas. I will happily book a table if a sit down meal is desired.
For those that would like a drive after this can also be arranged.
I will post a date once I have everyone's thoughts on the location.
Cheers

3 hours ago, Lauren said:Is it open? Not a good pub I think. It's not dog friendly either.
In terms of preference, a good dog friendly pub with good food, but happy to anywhere.
Claire and I have taken roxy in the cat and fiddle before without issue. roxy didnt really give them chance to say anything before she had made herself comfy .

I'm going organise either another meet or another drive for early December.
Do the members have any preference ?
Either way I'll find a different pub or route to last time.

Just finished the tv series. It's fudging awesome lol. Must have really got into because I now feel miffed it's ended lol.
Trying to use it to persuade claire it's worth increasing our knowledge and techniques haha.

I seem to be way behind the times. discovered initial D by accident while on a night shift at work. absolutely loved it and it's been listed here for ages.
Glad other ladies and gents of a 30+ age like it to. I don't feel so childish for enjoying it so much .

Depending on numbers I might ring the hare and hounds pub see if we can get a good seating position reserved maybe by fire if it cold.
Do we have a definite number attending.

Hi all.
I'm sure this has all been said before but coilovers.
1 what are people running?
2 what settings are you using?
3 does anyone run H&R mono tube ?
I recently won a set of H&R coilovers worth £970 plus fitting from demon Tweeks so I'm not going to complain.
I'm a big fan of Tein suspension having run there kits on all my mx5s (shhh I know that's like blaspheme ) and they have always been brilliant. As such I was expecting similar results from H&R especially as they are affiliated to Bilstein.
DT kindly fitted everything for free a week ago at H&R specs but the ride is unbelievably harsh and extremely low. Although I do like the look I have to be able to get over speed bumps to get to work.
I'm toying with the settings most evenings but can't find something sporty yet isn't going to give me scoliosis.
All opinions welcome especially if you are also running H&R kit or suffering spinal compression.
On the plus side side I've noted where the recommended HR settings are ready for track use as it will desimate all challengers through a corner lol

Definitely an open invite hoax. feel free to join in. It's very dog friendly claire and I take roxy in there regularly. Nice walk round the monument mins up the hill.
Looking forward to seeing everyone again.

That's 3 gt86s then.
Anyone else fancy a beverage ? :-)

Would anyone be interested in meeting at the hare and hounds on werneth low next Sunday 6th November? About 1.30.
Good drink selection and reasonable food.

Hi seb.
Yeah we got an involved and after plenty of letters we have sacked stockport off bought a better gt86 from Denton with a unique leather interior and better spec then the stockport car for less money. Even better is this car has only covered 6000 miles so it's like new. Claire is very happy. I checked your website you didn't have an 86 in for us otherwise we would have come for a visit

Cheers seb.
I'm at the point of getting Aaron B involved as it's dragging out now.
Had to swap the insurance and tax back all incurring administration fees. Funniest is stockport had set up the roadside assistance which must have cost them to do.

I'd like to put blyton parks race accadamy forward. Although the name says race it's for all abilities. Myself and 2 friends took advantage of this. It's a full day with a maximum of 5 cars in atendance the whole day. You get an instructor (in my case mark hales classic car racer and le manns podium winner) who takes you through 20 mins class room theory and then straight out on track to put this into practice.
You have the choice of driving your own car or using a mk1 or new mk4 mx5 or both half day in the mx5 half in your own car.
Blyton park is an airfield so loads of space with little to hit.

Your right chelseablue. It's time to be more forceful. We have been nice even willing to split the difference with them.
Spoke to a friend who works at a better dealership in Macclesfield so we know we are in the right.

Can anyone in the know offer some advice please.
I have recently tried purchasing a gt86 from a very reputable toyota dealer in the stockport area.
A price for the car and finance has been agreed and sigend for. On collecting the car today the sales manager has noticed a clerical error.
The finance has been calculated and agreed on a mileage lower then the actual mileage of the car.
This means their books are £800 or £20 per month out and they are now trying to amend the order forms and charge us the additional monies they stand to lose.
I think I'm within my rights to stand firm saying your error your loss.
Can someone confirm my theory or educate me regarding the contracts we sign when ordering a car.

Is there a club meet anywhere in manchester area.
Drinks and car chat etc.

It's the old dark blue rob I prefer it to the new blue. Think I prefer it to my black model lol.
I'm a blaming you Lauren for claire getting one. Claire really liked the car before our drive at the weekend but your enthusiasm really encouraged her to make her mind up and get one.
Good looking drive Kevin. Going to have to open ours up to get the cars off the road.
Tom your right haha. To much fun to share the driving.

Thanks for the responses.
I only clay two panels at a time so it takes 6 months to get back to the start.
My polish fills in the marks rather then being abrasive.
I've not come across a clay mit before is it as simple as it sounds? Just wipe the bodywork with a dry mit or is there more to it.
