It's the starlink system so connects to android using bt. Just downloaded the app so will play later.

Standard at the mo ... but being upgraded wjen new unit arrives. MY17 changed size so old upgrade doesn't fit. No DAB though ... bluetooth. Haven't really played with it yet ... too much fun listening to the Boxer!

So worth the wait ...

Insurance sorted ... Payments completed ... Registration plates made up at dealers ... DVLA stuff first thing Weds ... Just 5 more nights sleep (or lack off) ... :-)

Just had a call from the dealer ... my car IS an MY17!!! But because of that the old sat nav doesn't fit .. so will get the new one retro fitted late March ... So now I really should hold out for a 17 plate ... it's only 34 more days .. 34!!!

Oh great .. nothing wrong but my car is not only in the UK,it's already at the dealers!!! Which is now going to be absolute bloody torture as I don't want to pick it up until 1st March (17 reg!) .. knowing it is just 11 miles away is weird and .. Argggghhhhhhh!!!!

Not overly fussed to be honest. I'm not sure I like the steering wheel controls which make the wheel look very cluttered. I'll just be chuffed to get the thing now! :-) 43 days and counting .. (not sure if the "Days Left" phone app was such a good idea!). Once I'm into February I think the time will go a bit quicker. January is the longest month every year!! PS that Alfa 156 of mine has now gone to a new life 'up north' .. chap who bought it is going to fix the rust and a few other minor things and get it back on the road. It's been sitting in my garage since July 2016, I've trickled charged the battery every few weeks, and it started first time last Thursday when he came to collect it. Apparently went the 300 odd miles from mine to Cumbria without missing a beat!! Shame to see it go but I can't keep collecting cars ..

To soften the wait for my new BRZ (50 more days) .. bought myself a belated Christmas gift ...

When insurance companies don't want you as a customer they won't refuse to insure you, as you have to declare that and no-one else will touch you, so they whack up the premiums. I think now you've passed your test, recent insurance increases due to tax, etc and the GT86 accident history is all going against you.

Happy New Year to all the GT86 and BRZ owners out there ... 59 days to go now ... this has been a long, long wait but the car is due in the UK late Jan and then at the dealers around 22nd Feb. Then just the paperwork and a huge bank transfer and it will be mine, hopefully, on 1st March. I'm allowing myself to get a little bit excited now and perusing the owners manual (download version).

Give the screen a good clean .. you might want to try the cream Halfrauds sell, which was in a small pale blue bottle .. it's designed to get all the c@p off including any old traces of Rain-X, etc .. I'll need to get down to the garage to find the bottle for a better description, but it's very good.

Try finding one .. !! Deliveries on new cars, unless you find exactly what you want (or don't care!), are over six months .. they are now planning, and soon to close, the production allocation for February 2017!!

Well according to Subaru UK it will be the 2016 spec. All 2017 specs will be destined for US to start as that is their biggest market and only when that allocation is complete will they decide whether or when to fit to UK cars .. TBH I don't really care, chances are the price would go up anyway and this is at the top of my budget (actually need to tell SWMBO its actually a bit over!) ... 182 days and counting!

BRZ allocation is small and just missed January batch so it's Feb build date. Might as well wait a couple more weeks and get new reg! Seems to affect the Blue cars most ... harder to paint, more popular, ???

Whatever Subaru deliver! But I've spoken to three dealers and none have been told about a facelift ...
