I'm running the K-system pro kit on the front of mine. It uses Renault clio RS 3 brembo calipers with stock discs.

I'm pretty impressed with the kit after afew track days, not had any fade but granted im no pro. For the money though i think its great.

Have you got any pictures of them fitted to your car? hard to judge the size of the calipers without a wheel.

  2. Learnt a hard lesson last Saturday night that you should just drink and leave the car at home rather than not drinking and driving!

Someone had cut across my car leaving some lovely scrapes on my front bumper and even better damaging and cracking my Seibon carbon front splitter!

The bumper i'm not so concerned about as its relatively 'cheap' to sort out but the splitter is another story!

Does anyone know of a company in the North East that repairs carbon?

  3. My local dealership (RMB Teesside) has started doing the repair works as I've seen a fellow member discussing it, so i rang up and inquired about booking it in but they have twice fobbed me off saying they will ring me back to book a slot (has anyone in the history of the world had a call back from a dealership?!). All I can do is keep trying i guess because i feel i might be waiting a long time if i leave it for them to contact me!

  4. Finally starting a mod thread on here, even though I've got through most of my mods now!

But here is how my car is sitting now.

    - Seibon Front Wing

    - Seibon Carbon Mirror Covers

    - Tarmac Sports Side Skirts

    - Tarmac Sports Rear Bumper Covers

    - Seibon Rear Diffuser

    - Replica Carbon Sard LSR Wing

    - Beatsonic Aerial

    - Buddyclub Rear Lights

    - Japan Racing JR11's

Yeah they come from China. There's various sites for the Chinese manufacturers, take your time looking through them and see if you can get a deal. The biggest issue you'll have is that they all tend to use the same generic stock pictures, so you'll have no idea on the quality of the item you're buying. I've been considering getting a couple more in if demand is there since I know that the ones I can get hold of are decent.

If this eBay one doesn't work out then i'd be very interested in getting one from you @Lowe.

If there is interest from other members, how much would one be?

Depends on your dealer I guess. Mine have said OK - but then I'm also considering what else to get done while the engine's out. Clutch is a potential, as is any timing chain stuff that's otherwise a dick to get to.

Have they said what kind of discount they'd be willing to offer?

Or do they just take the labour charge of removing the engine off your bill?
