I have asked the question. Gun metal yellow and orange.

Welcome to the club mate! Though I've had the my GT86 for 3+ years, one thing or other kept me away from really getting involved on the club scene. Hoping to meet you and the others soon, starting with the Grasshopper meet then Japfest!

I'd imagine the turboed cars have an advantage here then, as driven gently a turbocharged car is effectively n/a at light throttle (hence the current crop of small capacity turboed engines which 'can' post impressive official mpg and co2 numbers)
Can't help feeling though that a supercharger would suit the natural character of the car more though.
That's exactly why I went down the Supercharger route to keep close to the NA character of the car and the linear power delivery. It is more expensive and less fuel efficient but I love it! Ultimately it is up the individuals preference.

Excellent choice sir! 😊 Well I have had a badly worded response from the manufacturer and he is willing to produce more in requested colours.
you can find him on Aliexpress:- MCE store

No Yellow I'm afraid. As for the install, on closer inspection the machined knobs just pooped over the OEM ones, so they were done in matter of seconds. For the Push start, after pulling out the bottom console I unplugged the push start and took a look at the chrome ring. It was held be three clips and was made of plastic, easily pulled off and the other ring put in its place with double sided 3M tape provided.

I'm similar to Rob, used to get 30mpg now I am getting 26mpg with HKS. Lots of fun😊

Hi Rob,
I got these via Ali Express, typically they now have none in stock but have pointed to another supplier the AC controls but no push button start ring:
it would of looked like this:

No gunmetal unfortunately, maybe elsewhere.
I will keep a look out guys.
Update: I have sent a direct mail to the manufacturer for an update for more stock or a group buy that may interest him and some of us.

Thanks for the tip Dan will let you guys know how I get on.

Last time I was there, Adrian had the Cosworth kit fitted to the fronts. I guess I'm moving more to a front only BBK.

Hmm thanks I will have a shot and take a look at the link cheers.

Nice mods! The suspension changes and results sound great!

Hi All,
I have acquired some red aluminium a/c control covers and the same finish to replace the polished chrome ring around the push start button. My question is what is the best way to get at push start ring to remove and replace it?
Thanks in advance

4 minutes ago, Keethos said:I think any of the options above would suffice braking wise, it's really not necessary to go BBK but if looks is a key thing then obviously go BBK, that's the main reason why I went for a BBK, better brakes than stock was just a bonus even though I do track days because the stock calipers are still pretty good. The stock calipers, pads and discs are very good for road use, for the odd track day, just changing the pads would suffice but if you push quite hard on track (and brake a lot) then pads and discs would be recommended.
Thanks for the opinion, looks are a bonus along with further weight reduction if I go down the Cosworth route. Not sure on the Stoptech weight. So you think the current brakes or Dba setup are sufficient with the increased BHP from the internal upgrades?

Quick update
I have now bought the Black Crystal Eye V3 head lights and I am getting these fitted on the 18th of Feb at Fensport, very excited! I just have one more dilemma.....
With the new wheels/rubber and coilovers I feel I am missing something in the brake department. I have 3 options:
- replace front/rear discs and pads with Dba T3 4000 and Hawk HPS pads - I have seen a few reviews pushing this as a decent bang for buck upgrade, though one friend did this and then went BBK after feeling it was not that great. I noticed the discs are slightly heavier than stock and the little OCD voice in me says don't do it after spending money on lighter wheels.
- Go for a Stoptech BBK 328 x 28mm kit front only.
- Spend even more mony on the Cosworth AP Kit front only.
Any opinions and help would be most welcomed, I like to drive the car in a 'spirited' way and will occasionally go for track days.
