They arrived yesterday Keethos, concave is hard to see in these photos as I had to pop out at the time so couldn't get a nice side shot.. Will do that tomorrow!

    Interesting read

Great and concise info for anyone looking at modding their car. It is tough after I/H/E to get more HP out of the engine effectively if staying N/A and are on a limited budget. Just going to try and pick and choose further mods carefully now as I really want to stay N/A.

    Deatshwerks Injectors?

Yeah I saw some independent tests done on the FT86 club forums for the power blocks and the dyno showed a solid increase in both torque and power, especially after a tune in the mid range: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=62007 Obviously by lengthening the intake runners you are always going to have a decrease somewhere in the rev range (we can't have it both ways) but the gains are potentially greater with a tune overall than the losses based on their tests. Especially given mid range torque is the bug bear of everyone! I plan to stay N/A permanently as it is more appealing to me personally than FI. Now I know N/A tuning is very expensive for this engine, however I would rather take my time and choose my mods carefully, and for the price, the power blocks did seem a rather sensible option. Hmmm that is quite a sizeable drop early on in the top end, has potential there for the engine to feel pretty flat.

New To The Forum - Colchester (Essex) Way

That is great going to be honest Rob. I incidentally was speaking with Chris from Tarmac in regards to Japfest, and he told me that I should probably go along, will take a look at the thread in the forum and look to buy a ticket, however it will not be until next months pay day if that is okay RE availability? In regards to accommodation, is everyone driving down the night before and then waking up early? Is anyone staying the night after Japfest too? Given I am in Essex I probably would want to drive down the night before and chill out rather than rush around in the morning. Yes to be honest Lauren what I will do is put the stock front pipe back on for any track days but keep the uncatted header on, should be enough that way, and if not, I have silencers for my N1 catback that I can put in any way.

Hi Special K, I know us Essex folk have quite a reputation these days.. that show hasn't done us any favours! I will have a look at the thread in the events category, only potential problem maybe the date (29th) as that weekend I am doing an enduro kart event at Rye House, but will double check in my diary Okay that's quite good reassurance wise, as with the Borla header fitted on Friday I will have officially no cats left on the car! I will try and sniff out the app on the App Store this evening then, be good to measure it! Do you have any other events planned other than the TSS at snetterton?

    Deatshwerks Injectors?

Guess the next thing I will be looking at are the Crawford power blocks then, as they are quite popular over in the US on N/A builds to help bridge that torque gap!

    Deatshwerks Injectors?

I'd love to know exactly what effect the injectors have? Is it worth the £300 investment or do you think they are best reserved for just the higher end builds? Be great to hear some thoughts on this

I was going to go down the HFC route originally, however they were so much more expensive than catless front pipes at the time! My car is a bit of a weekend toy at the moment so I'm not too fussed about how loud she will be, looking forward to opening her up for the first time on Friday after fitting and hearing that glorious burble!

    Essex Mini-meet.

Yeah I noticed they held a few at the new Sainsburys in Tollgate Colchester! I do see a few fellow cars around now and again on the road, so did wonder how many of you are on the forum too

Hi everyone, huge thanks for the warm welcome! Glad to finally join such an awesome community dedicated to such an awesome car! In regards to trackdays and events, I'd love to do at least a couple in 2015! I fancy a trip to donnington at some point in the summer but will probably need to put my cats back in to avoid getting stung on the noise restrictions, I'm also saving up for some conti sport 5's so will probably look to bolt them on before I hit the track! Shows wise, I've never looked into them and done my research! Are there any that a lot of members are going to in the next 2-3 months? Be great to meet up with a few of you guys on here and look at your cars and how you've personalised them! In regards to Fensport, I've spoke with Adrian before and he's so knowledgable! Thankfully my heel and toe technique is quite good (lots of practice and pedals are well placed in the 86) so what I'd most be looking forward to is that launch control and flat foot shifting map! My aim was always to get the header first then the remap to fully eradicate that annoying torque dip around the 4k mark! Anyone able to share their experiences in terms of torque and power gains with a full exhaust system and a header fitted? Was a great evening tonight as the postie arrived and left these (attached)

EVO Triangle 1st Feb with Jamie

I know! I have put off washing my car for the past 2 weeks as I think it's useless given how much they are gritting the roads at the moment! Thankfully I commute by train for work all week and the car is used as a weekend toy so the damage is minimal thankfully!

Wow sounds incredible Smudge! What is it like on the motorway at sensible speeds? As I have to go to Upminster the following day on Saturday for a birthday and I don't think my girlfriend will appreciate getting droned to death haha

    Essex Mini-meet.

What a shame as I am based in Colchester, but will be away for a family birthday all weekend Upminster way. Any more events that we could organise later on in the month during a weekend? As I would love to meet up with a few other fellow owners in the Colcheser area

Luckily around my way (Essex) we have some great open country roads to exploit, haven't taken her out much during the snowfall however as I hate how much the salt eats into your paintwork and makes your car look awful! Looked like a great trip though, and the views looked incredible along the hills!
