long-gone 152 Report post Posted July 1, 2016 Are there any GT86/BRZ specialists in this neck of the woods? I've found Fensport, Tuning Developments and Abbey to be very knowledgeable and experienced but they're all at least a two hour drive each way for me. I know of one or two Jap/Tuning specialists locally, but their GT86/BRZ specific knowledge and experience is lacking. While many mods, setups and servicing are common across our cars and 350Z/370Z, supra, celica, R32/3/4, civic, s2000, etc. I place great value in model specific experience from the likes of those above. S18 RSG 429 Report post Posted July 1, 2016 It's easy to avoid Litchfield. Email them, call them, do whatever you want, as soon as they find out you have a GT86, and not a GTR and deep pockets, they tend to avoid you, not the other way around I have a local Jap specialist I use for servicing, maintenance and general fitting, but anything specialised I'm happy to drive to Abbey (2.5 hours) or TD (3 hours). Fensport is over 4 hours for me, so kinda out of the question. 1 long-gone reacted to this
long-gone 152 Report post Posted July 1, 2016 My limited experience of Litchfield mirrors yours.
STEVO9000 54 Report post Posted July 1, 2016 I use Tuning Developments. I'm in Swansea, so it's a nice 3 and a half hour drive through mid and north Wales. However, the distance is not an issue given the knowledge, experience and service I've had from TD. I'd have no issue driving up there even if it was just to pick parts up! long-gone 152 Report post Posted July 6, 2016 Yep, I'm booked in to Tuning Devs in August now. I've been happy with Fensport and still am, but it's such a trek it means an overnight stay for anything but the most trivial job. At least Warrington is only a couple of hours away. S18 RSG 429 Report post Posted July 11, 2016 It's true tbh. The only people I know who've gone to KR have been completely clueless when it comes to cars, so they go their for a bodykit, and end up having engine and tuning work done (3 GTR's in this example).
