richardcarman 29 Report post Posted May 17, 2016 Right got myself a pioneer DA120, removed the basic Brz unit, installed the GPS, microphone, aerial etc all works fine. I just can't get the bloody head unit to fit in! I have the fascia infills, I just can't get the unit to fix back to the trim. I'm assuming I use the same brackets as were on other unit but doesn't sit right. Anyone fitted one is there a special bracket I should have got as well as the fascia infills? will300 812 Report post Posted May 17, 2016 I can't remember exactly what you need to do but when I upgraded my head unit the fascia holes didn't quite line up and they needed some filing.
rob275 1817 Report post Posted May 17, 2016 I could be lying completely but i'm sure i read somewhere a few weeks ago you need the toyo bracket as the BRZ one is for some reason different.
DanJ 374 Report post Posted May 17, 2016 You definitely need different brackets, I had this pain a few weeks ago. The screws are like cheese as well so I'd buy new ones unless they weren't as tight as mine. The part numbers are: 1off SU003-01962 (bracket) 1off SU003-01963 (bracket 8off SU003-02914 (screws)
richardcarman 29 Report post Posted May 18, 2016 Hi dan cheers for that, yep I ripped the thread off one getting it out, thing just goes. Where's the best place to order those Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
DanJ 374 Report post Posted May 18, 2016 No problem, you should be able to get them from any Toyota dealer. They're not stock items so phone them up to order first. Mine took a couple of days to come in.
