Nicebiscuit 655 Report post Posted August 1, 2015 Well if it's mx5 based I doubt they'll squeeze rear seats in. Which is a significant reason I bought this and NOT a new Mx5. I like the new mx5 it's pretty - but smaller surely...

Willtl 54 Report post Posted August 2, 2015 That article makes it sound like there will be no follow up to the BRZ. Not sure how I feel about buying one knowing this and may explain the difficulty in getting a new one.
Special K 442 Report post Posted August 2, 2015 I wonder if the FT-1 will go the same route... it was less than 18 months ago that Toyota said they were in "co-operation" with BMW on engine development.. Spec K
Nicebiscuit 655 Report post Posted August 2, 2015 I thought they were considering a smaller entry level roadster. Isn't that more likely to be MX5 related. Although personally I fancy the Fiat variant that's in development. Japanese engineering with Italian styling is probably the best way round to do it. (For anyone who disagrees there may be a few Alfa Romeo Arnas left...)
Tareim 343 Report post Posted August 2, 2015 I spoke with one of the guys with the Mazda's today at Beaulieu and he confirmed that Mazda and Toyota are partnering up (and it's official apparently) together but didn't go as far to say what the result will be, just that they are working together on projects, the Toyota guys on the other hand said nothing
