lucidcreation 1 Report post Posted April 13, 2015 Hi I have a couple of scratches on an orange GT86. Apart from getting the bonnet resprayed is there any product out there like Trutle Wax colour Magic for orange that any one knows of? I was thinking even red might be better than white :-/
rob275 1817 Report post Posted April 13, 2015 Do you have pictures? If you can feel it with your finger nail it's too deep to do anything with generally. If you're skilled with a touch up stick you could touch it up with that, wet sand and polish it up. If you want a Toyota touch up stick contact Riceburner on here. lucidcreation 1 Report post Posted April 13, 2015 Cheers rob yeah they're deep. Maybe a touch up is a good idea. Bring out my hobby painting skills.

lucidcreation 1 Report post Posted April 14, 2015 Actually I think I'm going to order the chipex h8r Orange kit. Seems more complete than just me and a paint pot :-) 1 adam reacted to this
Mark-in-Stoke 488 Report post Posted April 14, 2015 The chipex kit is ok, I have one and have used it a few times but find a wet sand (gentle) with 1500 and then 2500 grit finished with a polish works best for me.
lucidcreation 1 Report post Posted April 15, 2015 Mark, but you still fill with a colour?
Mark-in-Stoke 488 Report post Posted April 15, 2015 Yes, basically fill the scratch with the colour, leave it to harden, gently sand new paint to near original, then finer sand to blend with original. Then a really good polish.

nikndel 509 Report post Posted April 15, 2015 Just found a couple of dings on my nose cone what sort of end result should I expect to get with this kit?
Mark-in-Stoke 488 Report post Posted April 15, 2015 Patience is needed for real good results, and more than a couple of coats in my experience. metallics will always be harder to blend.
