smudge 1020 Report post Posted February 8, 2015 Morning all Going to be fitting my adjustable drop links today, and suddenly thought..."how do I know how much to shorten them by?" The standard DL's are obviously way too long for the ride height of my car, but how do I fit the adjustable ones so that the ARB isn't too tightly loaded, or even too unloaded? Guest Report post Posted February 8, 2015 As long as both drop links are the same length, you should be OK. I would assume that if your car is lowered by 30mm, the drop link needs to be 30mm shorter than the stock link?Just fit them and make sure nothing fouls or knocks and you'll be fine. Jamie_GRMN 177 Report post Posted February 8, 2015 As above just make sure they're the same length and that nothing fouls when you drop the car back down. You won't load the bar unless you have them different lengths.
DaveB 20 Report post Posted February 8, 2015 Had this issue already! If links are too long roll bars will scrape the wishbones. Adjusted drop link so that roll bar sits horizontally above the steering arm in original position.
