bounty86 1 Report post Posted February 17, 2014 Hi EveryoneLooking to modify my baby, would this invalidate the warranty? or would this only apply to drivetrain and suspension mods. I am new to this, the last car I worked on was my 2.8 Capri - many moons ago! (during the war....) any thoughts please??
rob275 1817 Report post Posted February 17, 2014 Generally you only void the warranty on what you mod, goes without saying really. So if you change your suspension, you can safely assume they aren't going to warranty them... You wouldn't lose your engine warranty or paint warranty for example... What was you looking at doing? bounty86 1 Report post Posted February 17, 2014 looking to lower the car, new rims and tyres, strut braces, carbon fibre goodies etc......have looked at so many carbon fibre parts, but unsure of the quality of these products
rob275 1817 Report post Posted February 17, 2014 well you won't be affecting your warranty with any of that anyway really. So you're fairly safe Normally its the silly things that need warranty cover, door seals etc and you aren't going to be replacing them with rubberized carbon fibre... lol
