Oh check out the uneven wear on the inside of factory discs and pads after 4 years and 32,000 miles!

Most likely another reason why the rears start to squeak so much.

Also, the single use carrier bolts get pretty bad which is why toyota say to replace them

The pads look like shit but still have a lot of friction material left. Discs are a fucking disaster though. Mine were even worse and delaminated in my hands after 60k or so. Nothing wrong with bolts just surface rust.

Do cossie make their own pads at all? Weren't those rebranded of some other vendor? Maybe even from one of those you mentioned as flawless ones ..

No idea. They said Cosworth so I assumed they were made by them and they were the only ones I had issues with. They work good though for what they are.

You shouldn't really have to file the pads themselves.  The caliper carrier contact points should be filed down to clean metal and all brake dust and crud cleaned off.

That's very true unless you get Cosworth Streetmasters which have shitty manufacturing tolerances and one of the pads would not fit no matter what for me. Even when everything got cleaned to almost "as new" condition. So your mileage may vary. Never had issues with EBC, Pagid or PFC pads - so fuck Cosworth. Am I allowed to say "fuck" ?

By chance have part numbers for washers that need to be changed when changing diff & gearbox oils?

Call Toyota, diff washers are cheap. From my experience there is no need to change the gearbox washers as they are very thick and quite expensive at £7 each for a washer!! I'm running Motul 300 and I can't complain.
