  1. Finally got the car back 5th June, after a few hick-ups with parts not arriving when they should have. All works fine now and can have Air Con on with blowing hot air.I was staggered to see what they had to do on the pics they showed me of my car, Front seats out, Steering wheel off, the whole of the dash taken out to replace Heater Box and other parts.
    15hrs Labour @ £100 PH
    Parts @ £859
Total £2359 all done under warranty.

Car booked in for the Recall job on 8th July

  2. I'm still happy with the 86, one thing is bugging me and can't seem to sort it out. even when both temp knobs are turned fully to LOW and air con on, the center (left) Air vent (louvre) is always warm !!!, whilst all the others are cold as they should be. Screen, all other vents including footwell are cool as it should be.  Can't seem to work out why 😟

  3. Update on the DAB adapter,  it's going back to Halfrouds for a refund (nothing wrong with it) but as I payed £99 for it, I saw on Fleabay this morning the exact same item for £20 (some guy had 70 odd for sale, so I ordered 2, 1 for me & 1 for my son, total £40, so in the end I get around £60 back "Which is Nice"😉

  4. All sorted, I decided to go down the DAB Adapter route first, as my stock Sat/Nav and Bluetooth work fine, it was onlt the stock radio which was bugging me. Purchased a Next-Base DAB250 adapter £99. Wired it all in inc aerial, done my pre-set's. Perfect signal strength and a fraction of what I was going to pay👍😉3.thumb.jpg.5be22901d1ded8021eb545a040d5ef84.jpg1.thumb.jpg.44056b4cf1a421459da17e735249bd87.jpg

  5. I'm not really impressed with the standard Radio/Sat Nav in my 86, looking for an alternative, Sat/Nav not really needed as I can use phone for that odd occasion. But will need Bluetooth, wouldn't mind Android Auto on it (but not necessary), would like a touch screen, so many makes out there (and prices) it's confusing !. Just looking for some ideas from members on what they have in their cars for some guidance, have a budget of around £300👍

  6. Well, both Son's have had a drive of her, they love it😊

Had a call late yesterday afternoon from dealer saying I have your 86 mats here, Oh well that was another excuse to go and drive it👍, then got home and ordered an Arm rest from Toyota, just the radio to go now and i'm sorted😉
