    Nige's GT86

Great project Nige. Must be good if Pitman is cowtowing
  2. Do gt86 parts come through the Toyota pipe or are they delivered through IM's ( Subaru UK ) parts channel? Just wondering because I have seen some very poor parts delivery on the Subaru side, especially if the item is not in stock in the UK.

    Hello from tweedbean

Couple of quality Mini projects there Tweedbean Wheel wise I'd be more focused on width; both modest 17" and 18" high work well with the car.

    Sell me the GT86 guys

go for it Toni Still got that GTR?
  5. Who is the old boy struggling with the Yaris?
  6. I'd love to know how they think up these comparos; I'm sure it is based on the cars they have to hand in any given week. Bland vag box wins again.
  7. Thing with this car is that you need to drive it in the zone and a bit of track time is perfect for that. Chassis is very good and I did lol at your comments re the engine; 15% more power and an engine that felt a bit more special would have seen a classic in the making for sure.
  8. If you are not attracting attention, going about your business, whatever you want to call it, then the Police will have no interest in your motor.

  11. Whine is great and adds much character to the burble-less lump. Wonder if the Sprintex 335 whines even more; guess we will find out in the new year

    GT86 Ebola

Sorry to hear this Keith. So worst case is full valve assembly plus labour; engine out? Hope you can get some goodwill from Toyota?
  14. I'll be popping into Abbey tomorrow too
  15. Yep, nice write up. Glad you like the Sprintex conversion.

I'd say low comp is definitely good for torques and Abbey have done a great job on the tune. Pulses really well now but still nice and balanced. Nice stealthy catch can

Ok it's been a while since I did anything to the car, largely because I wanted to keep it in a steady reliable state for my Ring trip , a few weeks back. Time to get modding again, and the good news is that the Bilstein B16 Coilovers are now in stock in the UK, so a set is on its way to me as we speak. My car is carrying a few scars now, mostly rubber burns from track debris, but also some paint peeling around the lower front grill. Not sure if this is a quality issue or as a result of the whole lower front being knocked back during a roughish kerb strike at the Ring.I've always respected Subaru Motorsport's efforts at the Nurburgring 24h event, and thanks to Newera parts, I now have a genuine factory sticker, which is lovely, albeit stuck on by a complete ass (me) lol.And the state of play is;Litchfield Ecutek remapMilltek full systemRays CE28 in bronze18x7.5 47 Michelin Pilot Supersport 225 40 18Essex AP Racing Endurance Competition Brake KitSTI flexi tower bar, front splitter, springs, shortshiftDefi gaugesFire extinguisherICEPerrin Oil Cooler ( not yet fitted )
