Don't think I'll be able to stretch to a track day at the 'ring and the dates for the Tourist laps don't usually get published until well into the New Year, so I'll just have to wait a while longer!

Decided to postpone this Meet / Hoon until the spring . . .

Just wanted to gauge the interest in a Northern Meet / Hoon around mid to late November?Thinking along the lines of Masham to Hawes, Buttertubs Pass through Muker and finish up at Tan Hill Inn (the highest in England), similar to the trip Keith (x2), Habu & Toyokid did earlier in the year (similar in as exactly the same!), but open to suggestions for detours.Discuss . . . (was going to mention this 'at the other place' too . . .)

There was a group buy 'at the other place', so I took the advantage of a Beat Sonic Shark Fin for £75. It came today, so I've fitted it - really quite pleased with how it looks and gets rid of that awful aerial

So what about Saturday 23rd November - 11am meet in Masham town square?

I've just bobbed mine on this morning - Hankook I*cept 215/45R17 on the OEM rims. Ok it's borderline temperature wise at the moment, but I had a few hours spare this morning as I'd washed it. Even put my folding shovel in the boot - all ready for whatever the winter throws at me!

Rubbing is racing ! You keep to your racing line if you are on the same lap as another car. Overtaking is allowed on any side

It's a race series held at the Nurburgring (using BOTH the north loop and the GP circuit) Good to watch as the rounds are about 4 hours long. Watch a bit in the grandstands then have a wander to somewhere on the north loop to watch there. http://www.nuerburgring.de/en/events/series/vln.html

The Buttertubs Pass is great, especially the little wire fence protecting you from fiery death . . .

I've been 'watching' the latest series of Top Gear USA (it makes a nice change) and in the most recent episode, a section was devoted to rallying, which is quite a niche motorsport in the USA. As one of the presenters Tanner Foust was about to start a timed section, the car in front of him was a *TOYOTA* GT86 So I managed to grab a couple of screenshots :
