i think its less our OCD and more the appalling moulding / fitting of the kit by toyota, i also have a friend with a white aero with similar issues, so thats 5/5

ah ok, i thought the dampening was meant to go all over the entire door and you remove that plastic?

probably a stupid question but do you just take the door card off, peel off the plastic, and stick this stuff everywhere you can in there? Does the peeled off plastic shield need to be reapplied afterward or just stick the door card back on and its done?

theres various sizes available on amazon that may be cheaper? i cant find a direct product comparison

thanks, yeah im not looking to go that serious as my car does about 2k miles a year, i just love audio and its painful that this is my cars audio quality. I have gone for the focals everyone seems to go for, then ill sound dampen the doors and see where i stand. I had a corsa before with no sound dampening and ran an amp with JL audio amp and speakers + sub and that sounded great for the 1k it cost me

yeah i always have to park in tight carparks and live in a poor area with careless people so i always check my doors when i get back to the car, its just frustrating as i took a front bumper hit last week and now this...

I could spend £500 if it got a result, or is it a diminishing return over the focals? I have just ordered a set for £120 off ebay any specific product for 'mass loading' ? or is that the brand, i dont want to add significant weight which was my concern. As well as damaging trims Im happy to do the amp and sub route, as i had that in my corsa, though i assumed HU was still important in getting the source right? as well as needing the right plugs to connect to an amp

cheers guys, concern was the sound deadening was the weight and messing around with panels, if its worth while then ill do that first i guess! headunit was more because i think the stock one is horrible to use and the distortion when turning any music up isnt sound deadening related

thanks for the details, the 500Q setup looks nice, but i guess with import itll be way more expensive. So with headunits, i see most are fitting android ones from cheaper brands, should i assume sound quality on these wont be the best? May have these Joying brand ones

actually i did the same and they did make it worse, id take it to a professional body shop if you want it resolved, toyota just suck loads of tape behind it and its peeled back again already, a reason why my car will never go back to a toyota dealer

yep my black 2016 aero rear bumper pulls away on one side a bit as if its warped, not really a big issue, just triggers my OCD

out of interest would this fit the aero front bumper? and does it come with the metal rods like in your pic?

So far only negative attention, Ford ST’s trying to race me, golf R’s trying to race me, and some kids in a Mercedes pretending to reverse into my car whilst laughing...but I live in a horrible area and have an aero model so....

ha im not sure if your serious or not, but sounds like a large upfront commitment ha ill see how my luck is before may and if nothing comes along perhaps ill pick one up at that price

Hey guys, i know its a mixed opinion kind of thing, but i love the wide body look (too much NFS growing up) I know that you can get the replica kits in the UK for around 1500. Though after watching youtube vids, theres a fair bit of hacking apart the wheel arches to install it. Does this totally ruin the value of the car? I assume it makes it super limited for selling on. Anyone around with one of these kits who can speak to its total install cost inc labour, quality, and effects on value? Appreciate it, at this moment its a pipe dream but I want to see if its worth perusing
