Hi everyone, I have been frequenting these Rockingham summer socials this year and have found them to be a good day out in general. They are now having a finale that is coinciding with the ever growing Cars & Coffee's second event - they have got some fantastic cars confirmed for attendance (Link to Rockingham event: https://www.facebook.com/events/343688006057431/) (Link to Cars & Coffee Facebook event: https://www.facebook.com/events/343688006057431/) (Link to Cars & Coffee website: https://cars.coffee/en/find-events/cars-and-coffee-rockingham-2017) I have been in contact with Rockingham's marketing team who have confirmed they are happy to organise a club stand for us and just need an idea of numbers to set aside the space. Please see the images I've attached for more information - I will try and find out more information on the availability of track time and the time attack sessions, if we get reasonable interest, and update as and when! Please let me know on this thread if you're interested and I'll maintain a list of people. I think I'll be getting there for about 10:00/10:30 (I would be earlier but the girlfriend was not happy when I suggested I wanted to get there for 9!) I know a few others will be getting there just before 10 and apart from that it's each to their own there will be other people there whatever time you get there so should be fine (sorry I feel bad getting there late as the organiser )

Hi guys, I've attached the leaflet below which includes a map of the event (we'll be one of the red bits I believe) here is an email from Will in the marketing team; "We have now created a venue map and general info leaflet which will also be handed out on the day, I have attached to this email for your info. The club stands will be located around the queens stone area next to the welcome centre and will be marked out in cones with the club name labelled, its easy to get to – just follow the road straight when you arrive until you get to the welcome centre. Track time can also be purchased from the welcome centre. Gates open at 08:30 but please feel free to arrive when you wish, most information you need can be found in the attached leaflet but if you do have any queries please do not hesitate to contact me. See you Sunday!"

Hi Cropzy - I *think* that this would just be for the cars that booked in with the Cars and Coffee website, I've confirmed with Rockingham that it will be £5 entry

So the stand has been confirmed, The marketing team are going to send me a venue map and instructions in the next day or so I will post those up as and when I receive them. Anyone is still welcome to join

Sure! No worries, speaking of cleaning mine is flaunting a full rally spec of cleanliness at the minute need to get cleaning it this week

Yeah it's just pay on the gate - Starts early morning so probably no meet beforehand and I think it's now going on later that originally planned (6pm ish) but we can always leave early and if a few of us are up for it we can grab something to eat afterwards Got the updated list now, it's looking good! List updated again! 13 of us down so far so we're past the 10 that we need to make it happen (Albeit a few are maybes) but I'm confident we can get some more people coming too

I have been told that the minimum requirement will be 10 cars to do the club stand but I have until next Wednesday to confirm so we should be okay. If it does look like we will struggle then I can always open this up to Japanese cars in general in which case I can get 10 no problem but would be much cooler with just 86's @Cerastes I will email now and find this information out! UPDATE; here's the reply - "Gates open from 08:30 as we have the track live from 09:00, the track session is it at 10:15 so if you are interested in booking track time I would aim to get for the circuit around 09:00am Entry is £5 on the gate" Hope this helps

I've included a listing which I will update You would hope so! We could pretend to be the official coffee dealers and put all the funds for us all to go on track

PS; the time I have put up is the official event time - note that they mention the gates open at 08:30 and therefore we can always meet beforehand. Also - if people were interested (and to make the best of the journey) we could organise a meal or similar following the event (I know there is a Wetherspoons sat right next to a "Plant Bounce" about 2 minutes down the road from the track! Lol.

Thanks for sharing your experiences Matt - I'll certainly remember this when it comes around to renewal time - I'm surprised they haven't handled the situation in a better way as it's things like this which break down reputations within the car community (something they are supposed to specialise in!) and will eventually lose them a lot of business (which it sounds like they have brought upon themselves). Keep us updated on how the situation progresses. Will.

The meets are the first Thursday of every month during the summer! (Look up rockingham motor speedway on Facebook) and as you can see me and my friends have an 'interesting' gathering of cars. Hope this pricks some ears up and hope to meet some of you there!

Hi everyone! I'm new to the group and picked up my GT just a couple of weeks ago. Anyway, thought these meets would be ideal for a few of us to pop along to, £2 entry, in the evening so can go after work, time attack course with the fastest time winning a free track day and the track open for track time (have to book beforehand and pay for track). Been a few times before and it has always been nice and friendly with some good opportunities to drive. This is a video my friend made whilst there; (if it works)
