    Hey all,

    I've been reading around threads looking for recommendations for a 200mm android head unit, and saw the really awesome thread regarding the Xtrons unit, which ends with general concerns over buying xtrons units in the UK (with companies going into administration etc)

    With that in mind, can anyone recommend an alternative to the xtrons? Needs to be 200mm as I really don't want spacers

    Hey,

    Hope you can help. I randomly, lost all FM and AM signal on the BRZ. - CDs, USB work fine. It's still got the standard crappy green head unit fitted, and I realise after doing some reading / what research I could that the aerial is actually amiplified from a 12V pinout on the head unit itself.

    So, before I go throwing money at head units, is there anything I should be checking which is a "usual" culript for loosing FM and AM signal? I've checked the antenna is still plugged in to the back of the head unit which it is

    I'd happily take my BRZ to the guys at Superchips. I know for a fact that they used a GT86 on a dyno to create their off the shelf map, and they also aide on reliability over all out performance. 

    They'll do a custom map to your car don't forget on a dyno. All depends on the approach you want to take

    I went a bit weird. I bought my BRZ as my "main" car in my last job, although I was commuting via Train. The BRZ would could out pretty much each night and most weekends, and I love it. I've since changed jobs and have a 60 mile round commute and a crap car park to park in. So I picked up a daily (cheap and cheerful Citroen C1) and use the BRZ as much as I can when not on the commute.

    I LOVE jumping out of the C1 into the BRZ, complete contrast in cars so i get to appreciate the BRZ the way it should be. Living in the country side, every road around here is sports car heaven.

    It's daft little things too I appreciate, like interior lights that come on when the passenger door opens! Let alone the quality of the stereo of the BRZ over the C1, and that's before I've even pulled off my drive straight onto a national speed limit B road with some ace corners.

    I'm sure they are awesome as dailies, but I think I love mine more for not being a dialy

    Thanks all, BRZ Lux in WR Mica Blue (of course).

    Not sure what mods I'll do, but getting an android auto head unit installed is the first job. - Followed by exhaust (need suggestions!) and then possibly a remap and take it from there really. New to it all!

    I'm hoping to get it to car shows etc, sort of makes sense :D
