  1. Also going tomorrow, will swing by buddies if there around 8ish if not see you at Silverstone.
  2. While I like most of them and would love to buy one (if didn't already have a gt86 I'm happy with), it seems a bit cheap that Toyota are selling these off as second hand cars. Surely a company the size of Toyota should be taking the hit financially and auctioning for charity or similar on cars that are now fairly well known.
  3. I should be down there for about 10.30 to 11.00am hope the weather holds off and some of you are still there.

    Prospective owner, some questions!

Toyota price matched a bank loan quote I had to offer HPI for same monthly cost on same number of months, (their first quote was quite a bit higher, so there is movement on any quoted rates they give you). I paid off early and the settlement figure was fair with no early payment charges etc.

    Hello

Depends on what you need to fit in, I can get 2 mountain bikes in with wheels off and seats down, but the opening does make it tight to get larger objects through (saloon style rather than hatch) there is also a fair bit of room under boot floor if packing for a camping trip and using all space.

If the warranty is important if you buy one with full service history this can be extended for another 2 yrs for £540 with Toyota when it hits 5yrs old anyway, so could save a few thousand buying a 2012/2013 model and do that too. I

Please don't fit the OEM spoiler to a fresh boot lid with no holes in. I exspect there would be a que of people who would swap boot lids with you (who already have OEM spoiler fitted). My car is black but would love to get rid of spoiler and not have holes to weld up and paint.

    carbon wrapped roof... But...

Could hydro dip it in carbon effect, fairly easy to do diy on small parts.
  9. For sale a few stock parts Standard suspension springs covered about 55k miles, £20 collected or £30 posted Standard catalytic converter (the second one) £30 collected please. Stock wheels with tyres. Wheels are currently bronze plasti dip but can be removed if wanted for you. They are not perfect couple of slight curb marks nothing major (as Toyota retailed me the car basically under the plastic dip). The tyres are 2 x stock Michelin primacy tyres with 4mm tread and 2 x nanking NS2 tyres with 6mm (I found these tyres better than stock even though cheaper). All tyres have even wear and all wheels are straight and balanced etc so ready to use. Looking for £200 collected. (Any of above can be brought to Japfest Sunday if it helps) if not collection form Deanshanger near Milton Keynes.

Is the Toyota service worth it?

All Toyota over 5yrs have cheaper servicing (in fact most makes do) to try and compete with general garages as most only keep to Toyota during PCP or warranty (even though not a requirement). Only issue is as most Toyota are fwd so they charge extra for rear diff oil over their normal bronze/silver/gold service plan.

Interested but the 13th of June isn't a Sunday?

Is the Toyota service worth it?

Once you gt86 is 5yrs old you can move onto a difference service price list at Toyota that's about half price too, (£95 for minor and £190 for larger service but diff oil change extra) so i wouldn't buy a bulk service plan that takes you past 5yrs even though they will try and sell you this.

Wheel and Tire Advice Wanted : )

Maybe plasti dip your current wheels orange, would only cost about £40 all in and is completely reversible, it even helps protect condition of stock wheels underneath.

    If I was to sell...

Alot of potential buyers at this new will likely be buying on finance, and be exspecting a dealer to arrange this etc, so the market for private sales is alot smaller. I have heard of Toyota buying private low mile cars back to retail at fair prices maybe Subaru would do similar?

So how can we get a gt86 track day there to see how we can do vs the celebrity drivers
  16. I ended up not selling mine but have paid to insure car for morning so would be up for this is doesn't get taken, you could passenger if it helped make you feel better?
  17. If anyone is looking for track time for this I would be willing to sell my 9.00am track season as the moris cheap track insurance isn't happening for this any longer. (So will now need a whole days cove for 30 minutes which seems excessive), let me know cost £43 but would sell for £30.

Pleased to see regular local meets happening unfortunately I can't do this weekend either, but will try and make a future one.
  19. Online booking now working for track time (I went for the 9.00am one). Hopefully see some of you there.
  20. Signed up, but not been able to book track time yet, not working this evening.
  21. Thanks for suggestion but don't really know what time I will be leaving in morning yet, but will come and say hello there.

    Brakes

Liking my performance friction z pads so far, similar in feel to mintex 1144 pads I have ran on previous cars on track (they don't make for gt86 yet) in other words similar to stock when cold but no fade when hot. Think they are also cheaper than anyone elses performance pads too. (Don't make matching rears but suppliers didn't consider this an issue as front pads do most the work).
  23. Exspect I will go again (been to the last 4 Sunday services at Silverstone normally do a track session too (going to pro drive one too). Here is a shot from the last Sunday service at Silverstone from nov. Think I remember a few gt86s there.

Think the mx5 lot meet on a Thursday Eve (2nd or 3rd of month I think) weekends are more busy with general public though, personally can't do 25th but go with what ever suits others as will never please all, and I will try and make the month after.
