  1. To me it makes sense they want their own stand at Japfest. There was already two existing GT86 clubs, they decided they wanted to be different so made their own club, fair enough.

If you're going to the effort to make your own club, why would you then want to join existing clubs stands? It would defeat the whole point, unless I've missed something?

  2. Fitting can be straightforward when you know what you’re doing, I wouldn’t call it easy.

Transferring the top mounts is a bit of a faff, can be tricky to tighten adequately onto the coil over as you may need to grip the shaft to stop it spinning.

It’s an easier job to fit coil overs that come with their own top mounts.

The front drop links tend to put up a fight and may need a word with an angle grinder. It’s worth having replacements ready to fit.

  3. Because he didn't reply to you straightaway, you defamed him and his business by stating matter of factly that he knowingly sells products that are faulty.

There's a reason why social media and trolling is in the news at the moment, because "people" will do this stuff with the cover of anonymity.

I'm afraid "not replying to me within 8 hours" is not an acceptable defense!

  4. Fluid was your issue there, probably not helped by OEM pads.

For track work fluid is the first thing you change. To be honest what happened to you was inevitable on a forced induction car on track with no braking upgrades. The standard brakes are barely adequate on an unmodified car on track, I wouldn't even do a day on standard fluid with that.

  5. I've got exactly the same problem, new battery last year now dead. I can't seem to disable the alarm, there is a keypad in the glovebox that should correspond to the code in the alarm manual. Doesn't seem to work for me.

My jump starter also doesn't seem to work this time, it shuts itself off within a couple seconds. I'm going to have another attempt using jump leads and another vehicle soon!

  6. I find them fine aswell. Overheated them once in a BBK but was an overly long hot session and I was risking it.

They get a lot of bad press online from people who drive them with heavier cars.

This might sound an odd point, but the build quality of the pad itself is better than all others I've tried. I used to have to file the backing plates of EBC and Carbotech pads down so they weren't a tight fit in the caliper but these DS2500's slot in beautifully!

Took me a while to find it ,this is the best review for FI kits with all sorts of data and slants just from across the Atlantic. Take your time and read it a few times over Jay. Edelbrock is very similar to Harrop as it uses the same charger Eaton TVS 1320. So reference it that way and enjoy making your mind up.

Excellent comparison, hadn't seen that one before.
