    Hello from surrey

We Tiger sealed it on to mine - doesn't come with any fittings. I emailed Aerokit before and iirc that was how they would do it if they fitted for you Sent from my E6853 using Tapatalk

Good choice - I got the full aerokit done and I really like it. Have a look in my thread; body colour goes well. Fitment i found was pretty spot on too http://www.gt86.org.uk/forums/topic/3703-nemo-the-86/#comment-62177 Sent from my E6853 using Tapatalk

You had yours mapped by Abbey earlier in the year (think we were there on same day) - did you have any issues with the Ecutek license between tuners, or none whatsoever? I'm assuming that the license sits in the ecu, rather than anything else? Sent from my E6853 using Tapatalk

    4 Wheels In The Car

I managed to get 4 wheels and 4 tyres in the car. JUST. 18x8.5 all round, so does work. just wrap them in something before you ruin the upholstery!

    Strange rattle from rear

I think it does look kinda good, but agreed its ridiculous. Just a waiting game i guess til my car shakes the weld on the other side free.

    Strange rattle from rear

Hi guys. First off, yes I've googled this before asking, and sorry if it doesn't need a new thread. I've recently been getting some rather odd rattling noises from the rear of the car when driving, especially noticeable at around 4.5-5k rpm. It sounds very much like something rattling/vibrating at a resonance frequency, but its very irritating!! I've starting noticing a slight rattle noise at other lower rpm but much quieter. I have had the car up, and checked there are no loose bolts, the exhaust is tight, and the underpanels are also bolted tight. I removed the rear exhaust shield (big panel) and I've replaced full exhaust so no other heat shields. Hoping nothing is simply gonna fall off [emoji53] Has anyone heard this noise (or similar) before? (It's dark out when I recorded in the car) My exhaust is quite loud, so difficult to hear initially. Cheers for any input Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk

    Strange rattle from rear

Thanks. I took a chance with Epoxy, and it seems to have solved the problem! Cable ties just whilst it cured. Good feeling being able to overtake people without sounding like my car is falling apart! (which technically it was...)

    Strange rattle from rear

I think i found the problem, or at least hope I have. The Invidia name plate that is welded on to the exhaust has broken its welds on one side. I have no welding tools, so some high temp epoxy weld is probably the best option at the moment as its not structural.

    Strange rattle from rear

It does seem quite loose, but the sound in person feels more like metal scratching on metal, so not sure it is that. Wondering whether the exhaust is just too close at the top to the framework, and at certain revs it vibrates enough to hear it? Who knows! Thanks for the help guys; will probably just have to take it to the dealer to have a look at for me - I've used two Saturday's and not found anything yet

    Strange rattle from rear

Yep, my number plate and seat belt rattles as well! Along with the gear knob (even after changing to short shifter). You're right re the 'buzz'. I'm just wondering if it is something like the rear brake backing plate or something. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk

    Strange rattle from rear

Tried tightening the front metal shield, no rattle in it or loose bolts. Manifold/OP/FP all aftermarket so no covers. Just a massive puzzle 😕 Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk

Had my first MOT with the JDL HFC - asked the guy (Motorline Gatwick) to make sure it was warm, and seems to have passed with good margin. Good pass for such a tiny HFC. On sale too, though exchange rates are a bit poo at the moment. https://jdlautodesign.net/shop/ft86-ultra-quiet-front-pipe/#prettyPhoto[product-gallery]/1/ Sent from my E6853 using Tapatalk

I'd read all the posts about tyre size and it was such a toss up; in the end I thought I'd try the more-grip (over grip some may say!) approach and see what it was like. 225 could be cheaper in long run. I do really want to lower it, but I already have difficulty with the front lip scraping in multi-stories/other slopes so lower by an inch may leave me beached :-D Be a good excuse to buy another DD though Sent from my E6853 using Tapatalk

After much deliberation, I finally got round to choosing new wheels, and after 4 weeks, a set of Work Emotion Cr Kiwami 18x8.5 in 47 (front) and 38 (rear) offsets arrived! All 4 are now fitted with Yoko V105s in 245/35/R18 (I dont like the stretched look at all!) and weigh in at c.10kg. Yes, not massively lightweight but considering I've gone up 1 inch diameter and 1.5 extra width, its acceptable to me. Wheels are pretty much flush, look great. The grey tyre look is only slight upsetting me at the moment.....!

Finally managed to get my kit painted and fitted - got it back today, and I'm loving it! Was thinking of carbon wrapping, but I'm glad I went for all orange instead. Paint matching is pretty good I must say! Obviously need to change the alloys now...but that can be the next step. Sent from my E6853 using Tapatalk
