  1. Hi car alarm has always been fine then, on the exact day of its 10th 'birthday' the alarm started to go wrong! Not my car.

When locking the car it beeps as if is preparing to sound the alarm but it doesn't, it just continually beeps. The alarm indicator, on dash, the one with half a car and padlock shows up red.

The car can be unlocked and driven normally, also lockable with  key, just does this when locking with remote.

I've tried both remotes, would it have anthing to do with bonnet sensor? I thought that an 'open door, bonnet or boot sensor would immobilize the car or at least sound the alarm?

    Any ideas/experience/solution?

    Cheers

  2. The forums seem to be getting ignored when events are arranged and people NOT on FB don't get to hear about them.

A lot of forum type questions get asked on FB when the answers are on the club forums, which can be searched for (not on FB!). This results in the same old questions being asked. FB users need to be pointed in the direction of the 2 existing forums, Drivers' Club and Owners' Club.

Another club has started up (Cult 86 which I admittedly have joined) that are having separate Club Stands at shows i.e Japfest Silverstone surely we all want a gathering together of as many 86's as possible not rival stands!

  3. Thanks for that, I'll have a look. Tried disconnecting battery and checked fuses to no avail. If I get no joy I may just wait until I can ask the Toyota garage that did the service that if they sort it out free I'll extend warranty, no sorting  then I'll go to a different franchised main dealer for the warranty.

  4. Had car service and MOT 2 weeks ago.

ABS and Traction control warning lights came on when leaving a roundabout. Still on after restarting engine.

Any ideas? My 5 year warranty has just expired and I'm intending to start an extended in 3 weeks time so don't really want to go to Toyota unless it's something to do with Service/MOT.

    Fuse, sensor?

  5. If we arrange to meet beforehand we can convoy in and, hopefully, park together just like normal for a stand.

We'll sort something out nearer the event, if it goes ahead.

I rang Beaulieu on Wednesday and was told that it was definitely going ahead and they are working out the numbers and logistics.

  6. Hi Mark, I'd be interested in the ticket. I think Beaulieu are waiting for Boris's new guidelines today as to what they will be able to open, Museum etc.

There will be no Club stands and cars will have to go in together and, hopefully, should be able to park together!
