As Keethos said all instructions and stuff can be downloaded and printed out, there are no instructions printed and supplied with the part. I fitted mine myself, it really isn't a difficult job provided you take your time. Drilling the holes is a little unnerving, but provided you use the template and follow the instructions, you'll be fine! Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  6. Hi Guys, Looking to sell the wheels that were on my Celica Gen 7 GT. As the title says they are japan racing JR3 wheels 17 x 8 in machined silver. Wrapped in pretty much brand new Toyo Proxes T1R tyres, covering around 5000 miles, possibly a little less. One tyre does have a screw in the tread, picture shown below. Still holds air but I would recommend getting it repaired, probably about a tenner, could even have it done for the buyer if preferred. Centre caps I had made custom by Locking Vinyl. Specs at a glance; Diameter - 17inch Width - 8J Offset - ET35 PCD - Multifit 5x100 and 5x114 Tyre size fitted - 215/45/R17 There are a few marks, the most noticeable being around an inch worth of curb rash on one of the wheels. and a couple of stone chips. See pictures below. These were a great wheel and looked great on my thunder grey. again see the pictures below; Looking for £450 all in with tyres. Collection preferred, may be able to get a courier but at the expense of the buyer. Open to sensible offers Thanks guys

    Simply Race Sim Night

What an awesome idea! I'd be totally up for this, again if numbers are light I've got a couple of friends who'd be able to come along! I was in the same boat at japfest OP. I managed to talk to Rob as he was very close by to a car I was admiring!

Hi rob, Many thanks for the swift resolution. Invoice email now received. I did think it had, had a moment at the time as it didn't seem to redirect me back to the forum, but thought I'd wait and see. Glad to know it's sorted. Red would be great if possible. No rush at all for them, just when you're ready! Again, appreciate your time dude! Sam

Hi Guys, I paid premium membership a month or so back, but have yet to here anything regarding the membership or receive the club stickers. My Paypal account shows the payment going through on the 20th of March. Any ideas? Thanks, Sam

    The Wheels Thread

Thanks guys, really informative posts. I've always avoided running any sort of camber as I've generally always thought of camber as "stance" with the low cars with the huge angles of camber. Never realised that a little negative camber can actually help improve handling. I just thought it was a case of, tyres should be perfectly flat to the road, any camber is bad and will wear tyres prematurely. So I guess I was completely wrong. Good job I asked the question really isn't it? haha thanks! certainly makes me feel a lot more confident in my wheel choice and getting a good set of coilovers. Next thing will be to consult the suspension thread! Probably won't be for a while though, she's just clocked over 8000 miles today so she's still only little. May be a little premature to start swapping out major chassis components.

The Fast Show, Santa Pod, 10th April

Aah thought it was, yeah I almost followed but the ground started to get very boggy, very quickly, so decided against it and just parked up next to my cousins truck and sat in there till it died down. we saw everyone getting stuck and would have helped had my cousin packed his tow straps (Kind of wasn't expecting to use them, haha) We came from the North as well, M1 south to 16 I believe then on the A45, soon as we got through the Wollaston we were in traffic all the way to the gates. Glad you got out safe though mate!

    The Wheels Thread

This is very true, had the same feelings when I put new wheels on the Celica. But the fitment was livable so I never got around to the suspension. This makes sense.. Probably a question for the suspension thread really, but sort of applicable to wheels. How much camber becomes too much that it effects handling and drivability? Is it a case of all camber is bad within it's own right? Is it always a case of form > function? Thanks for the help guys.

    The Wheels Thread

@Deacon Thanks mate, I was starting to believe that was the case, but was hoping for someone to prove me otherwise. maybe I need to rearrange my priorities a little. perhaps wait with the wheels until suspension changes are made.

    The Wheels Thread

Hopefully someone can give their thoughts. Looking into wheel options over the past couple of weeks and the XXR 527s have really caught my eye, however I'm concerned about how they will look on a stock ride height, as at the moment I have no plan in lowering, probably next year. Problem being I think the wheel is a little too wide and the offset a little too low making them extend out of the arches too much. The size for the wheel is 18 x 8.75 ET35. Does anyone have any experience of this size or a similar size on stock ride height? I've also found a similar wheel at 18 x 8.5 ET35. which would sink the rim an extra 3 whole mm..! Taking a look on the US forums it's been done multiple times both on Eibach springs and coilovers. Any ideas guys?

The Fast Show, Santa Pod, 10th April

Hahaha, I will be honest, Santa Pod is the only venue I've been to for shows, as everything else is usually on when I'm away. So I have nothing to relate to. But I've really enjoyed the place in the past, but I'm not sure what happened on Sunday. Everything about it felt truly unprofessional. The car park situation was the worst for us by far. Got back to the cars at 3pm and didn't get out till gone 6:30. It wasn't helped by the fact one of the hired security decided to lose his rag and smash his radio into a guys car bonnet, making quite a big dent, and the subsequent shoving match which resulted. It's made me seriously consider whether I'll be going to any more at Pod this year. I can certainly understand why the club has no intention of showing there. There's been loads of comments and posts on the Santa Pod facebook and twitter with people airing their opinions about Sunday, but no surprise they've all been removed by Santa Pod admin.

The Fast Show, Santa Pod, 10th April

Have to admit, I was pretty dissapointed by the whole show, spent 2 and a half hours queueing to get in, and 3 and a half hours trying to get out. Spent more time in traffic than in the show itself! Did I spot you in my rear view in the car park when we were all queuing and going nowhere? White GT86? Edit: Just switched to web view and see it definitely was you. Did you scramble for the left of the field with everyone? It was like that scene from 2 Fast 2 Furious where all the tuners come out of the warehouse

  21. Hi everyone, Something I've wanted to do for a seriously long time, ever since I got my first car. Was go on a road trip over to the Nurburgring and take a couple of laps around one of the worlds most iconic circuits! I've decided that next year will be that year, so I'm looking for some information from anyone that's been on what to expect, where to stay what to do and generally just any information people can offer that will make it the most enjoyable trip possible. Also I thought I'd see if I could gain some interest for anyone else on the club that would like to come along. None of my friends are generally that bothered about cars and driving holidays, so to get a group together that really would like to do it would be awesome! Thanks guys, Sam
