  1. Ok, you are a bit far to make a trip just for them, but I may be in Essex with work in a couple of weeks (around 13th/14th April) if you've not sold them by then I'll take them.
  2. Have you still got the wheels, might be interested

Like it a lot, could see this being eventual replacement for my 86 in a couple of years, I quite like the mk4 looks anyway, in some colours like the dark grey and pale almost white grey I think it looks great. This is even nicer though. I'm not sure I could live with a soft top as a DD so this answers a question for me at least, if it is price comparable to an 86 then it seems a really attractive prospect.

Yeah, like I said before, I'm pretty certain you can't get T&G+ on an 86, but the OP's 'MyToyota' page states they have it, hardware seems to confirm otherwise

    Bedford trackday 29th Feb

Nice to meet you all, was my first track day and I loved it, nice circuit and perfect weather. I was really impressed with how my stock car felt on track, really stable and forgiving, I was taking it relatively easy so as to give myself a bit of margin if I misjudged a corner (margin I needed on a couple of occasions) but I didn't spin or find the grass at any point, so that is good

Staying at the Premier Inn too, not sure when I'll get there, probably after 8 though

I didn't think the 86 was available with T&G+?, other cars that have that (Prius, Auris etc) do get some free updates as stated in the link you posted but T&G doesn't. The new car configurator on the Toyota Website still says T&G only for 86 so if it is available they aren't advertising it But the owners page for mine states T&G where yours says T&G+ so who knows... I paid for a map update on mine as they were about 4 years old (18 months older than the car) the update was worth it. If you bought a brand new car though even with the T&G (non +) system the dealer could update them for free before they had 100 miles on the clock I think, so if it wasn't done as part of PDI you could make a case for having it updated for free in any case.

On winter wheels and tyres at moment, will swap onto my primacies for this, was looking at them today, and they don't have too much left, might be the death of them! So may be shopping for new tyres afterward, Not sure whether to replace them like for like or go to Conti Sport Contact 5s

    GT86/BRZ forum split

There was I believe, an agreement that Subaru would only sell 1 BRZ for every 10 GT86s (don't know if that was worldwide or just UK) so they couldn't have sold as many even if they had really pushed it (albeit they haven't even sold 10% of the number here I don't think?) As others have said, for the first few months of sales, BRZs only had a 3 year warranty (new ones now have 5), vs 5 on the Toyota, that would have swayed it for me if buying new, otherwise I wasn't that bothered really whether I got a BRZ or 86, I would've maybe even slightly preferred a BRZ for rarity... When new, there's not much difference in price before discount (The Subaru Lux has standard leather? That was a £1700 option on the GT86 so it cancels out the perceived difference, albeit the Toyota is available for 15% discount through brokers) In the end though I was buying 2nd hand, there were way fewer BRZs available (obviously) and the ones that were around all seemed to be up at significantly higher prices than the Toyotas (around 10% higher at the age I was looking at, and that was for cars with 6 months warranty left vs Toyotas with 30 months...) So, if you have a BRZ, at least the residuals look to be a little firmer! Not sure how they will stand up as the first ones fall out of warranty?

I work in town (Holly Walk) don't think it was me between Balsall Common and Kenilworth, haven't been out that way in the last couple of weeks so far as I can recall

Add another to the list, had my car 6 months (Black 62 plate 86) been on the other forum since before even buying it with same username as this (no complaints, all very friendly over there, will be staying in both I guess) didn't know this one existed until someone left a card under my windscreen wiper today, live in Rugby, work in Leamington Paul
