We all know you never get your money back with these things but it was fun building it and being a part of this club. Many a meet and laughs have been had. The thread on this car build can be found here on the site as Project Mango.

After a great 9 years, family/work circumstances have changed and I need a more practical car.
Owned from new: 2012 Toyota GT86 manual Supercharged - Makes 306 BHP
DOR: Sep 2012
Mileage: 56k (will likely rise slightly driving to work)
Colour: Silver
MOT & Service: Aug 2022
Price: £12,500 (ONO)
Private plate will be left on CC06 JAP
Full-service history, first 3 years stock with the dealership, then Fensport carried the Supercharger, Manifold, Exhaust, EcuTek, Wheels, coilovers, and BBK work. After that regularly looked after and serviced by Abbey Motorsport who further tweaked the Supercharger and installed the Tein active EDFC system.
Valve Spring recall was successfully carried out with no issues.
Supercharger set up has been on since 2016.
Receipts for all work tuned for 98Ron Shell V-Power but also has preset config for standard unleaded.
OEM Extras:
- Heated Seats
- Leather/Cloth Seats
- Rear Parking Sensors
-
JBL sound system with specifically designed Sub that sits in spare wheel bay.

Bad bits:
- 2 minor easily fixed dings by cars parked too close
- 2 tiny chips on the windscreen, not MOT failing (passed last August)
- Cosmetic damage to front bumper (see photos) chips from driving could do with a respray
- Alloys could also do with a minor refurb (originally £2K import special order from Japan)

I don't think I can be bothered, I think I will sell as is and ask for 13K. I hope the next person enjoys it. 😊
-
I think it's worth mentioning as it shows some care has gone into the car in my opinion mate.

Thanks both, I do have OEM parts, so general consensus is remove and sell off separately.
Food for thought, cheers.

Hi All,
After a great 9 years, family circumstances have changed and I need a more practical car. The question is should I sell it with or without mods. All are in good condition and serviced.
What does everyone think?
Thanks In advance.

Hi Jay,
Coil-overs aren't a problem it is the lowering and that troughs sharpness. I had my Tein Flex-A lowered to 30mm to still me to go over speed bumps. You can stiffen the suspension to reduce the give, but it will make for a slightly more unpleasant ride.
I have the automatic EDFC system that stiffens when needed based on speed and g force.
You will still need to experiment to find out what works for you mate

Hello mate,
Had an absolutely perfect experience there, they had already dealt with other cars but mine was the first with heavy mods. They took their time, we went for a drive before and after the process and all work was well documented (video and photos). I have had no issues what so ever.
Happy to recommend Beadles Medway.
-
No worries, glad you got them sorted.
-
Excellent! Did you just repair or change the colour?
Do have a before and after pic? 😊
-
Hi Twigman!
How did the refurb go? I was thinking of sorting mine.
-
All kit ordered, any tips or things I need to watch on the install? 😊
-
That's always good to know! It definitely helps reduce temptation in certain neighbourhoods. :)
-
Thanks for all this info! I'll start shopping. The battery function is a nice function too!
Appreciate all the original effort that has gone into finding and setting this unit up.
A massive thank you for sharing in detail the end result mate!

This looks great mate. I was thinking of trying to fit the Alpine halo9 or wait for the new Sony xav8000.
Your set up gives you a bigger screen and is a 2 din box. The price too can't be knocked.
Could you point me in the right direction on where and what adapters exactly you had to get?

5 hours ago, Lauren said:There won't be additional charges for your car being modified, don't worry. There is an agreement to fit clutches and plugs with no labour charges.
Great, good to know thanks Lauren!

Beadles Toyota Medway want me to come in for an hour assessment before starting work, made them aware of mod work carried out by Fensport and Abbey. They said they will contact them and made no mention of additional charges, but they have offered to fit my new clutch FoC, I will supply part.

I have 4 stock wheels Mark, if you still want them £200

Hi All,
Have the itch to spend on the car again but I am now split between an active Pro edfc install or a new head unit and dash cam.
Which would you go for?
