  1. Yes it is configurable, mine (an 86)  only the drivers door unlocked with the smart entry. I changed it to both doors with this method (credit to codename47 as it was from his post):

Use the drivers door handle to open the door
Leave the door open and hold the lock and unlock buttons on the fob for 5 seconds
You'll hear a couple of beeps
Voila - your drives handle now opens both doors.
This can be repeated to reverse if wanted!

  2. I personally have always thought na tuning falls into 2 catagories. Pointless being one and expensive being the other.

Naff all gains for the relative cost going small, but if you big.. Eg. Cams, lightening/balancing, itbs etc.. The whole shabang. you'll have something special... Id rather buy another car!

Na tuners please dont take that personally.. Its just my opinion.

  3. I went for the toyota for a few reasons.. Family have had many toyotas, my step dad had a mk1 mr2, i had 2 mk2 mr2 turbos, my now wife had a mk3 mr2 so that sold it in one level, a natural successor!

I like the ae86 link and all the 86mm aspects of the gt86/brz which goes more with the toyota imo.

I prefer the front end of the gt better (although i do like the headlights on the brz). To add to that the head unit and silver dash of the brz didnt do it any favours for me as i like stock interiors (I'll never say no to some holding monsters though!)... Thats it really!

  4. ^ genuine question here as only just finishied my training.

I thought the specific heat capacity of water is higher than anything, including ethanol so how does the transfer improve if the ethanol lowers the specific heat capacity?  Like when adding glycol to water in coolant also lowers its capacity? Or am i missing something in this case?

  5. Mr k. You seem to get rattled easily then vent on here.. Ok if its in jest and just a laugh but maybe you are trying to take it one step further like a post about the user church a while ago.. Chill out!

The super charger for sale thread.. a post of yours seems to be deleted going by others responses in the same thread.. Seems like youve had a bad day and turning the keyboard into your weapon of choice?

  6. Just a quick post to thank Mark and Scott at Abbey. Service has been second to none.

I installed my sprintex myself at home and came across a couple of small hurdles which were quickly resolved with Marks help through emails.  Maps were sent to me, then data logs sent back (more than usual due to the hurdles i experienced!), timing of which went above and beyond good customer service.

Visited again today for my final map and am very pleased once again. Have always felt welcomed and will definitely come again for further work. even though ive clearly spent next to nothing compared to some other customers it doesnt detract from service recieved.

    Thanks, top job 👍
