  1. The time has come to sell my GT86.
My original plan was for this car to be a keeper but since our daughter was born, I've found the car just isn't getting the use I'd hoped for, mainly due to the lack of space compared to our other car, it's just easier to take that instead. Therefore I need a saloon or an estate.
    Anyway onto the car.
I purchased it from my local main dealer last year with 10,500 miles on the clock, it now sits  at 14,150 miles.
My intention from the outset was to supercharge the car, I purchased a used Sprintex unit from a member on here which came with all new ancillary equipment such as pump, hoses, radiator etc. The kit was collected from abbey motorsport then subsequently inspected, all bearings good and no rotor contact.
The car was mapped by Mark at abbey motorsport and produced 228whp (approx 265 fly), this was on a 69mm pulley and standard exhaust. Mark said at the time that if I had a cat back on the car he could have got another approx 20whp (I didn't want a loud exhaust and settled for the stock one).
    The car also has:
Ecutek licence with 4 selectable maps (soft throttle, stock throttle, safe map for 95 octane fuel and stock throttle with auto blip, flat shifting and launch control)
    HKS panel filter
    tinted rear windows
a discrete digital boost gauge by the start button.
    20/25mm wheel spacers front/rear
    Red Toms tail lights.
Toyota touch & go sat nav.
Under warranty (just over a year now remaining, not inc. engine) , the car had new front discs and pads last year due to squealing, the battery replaced for the 65ah and a new set of mats on purchase.
The car also has the front of the bonnet/bumper wrapped in clear vinyl for paint protection, this has been very affective and due to this I have only been able to find one very small stone chip that is on the unwrapped  section of the bonnet.
The car is located in Swindon, Wiltshire.
I am asking for £17.1k ovno.
Any questions if you think I've missed anything, then just fire away!

  2. Hi, can anyone share their views/knowledge on this subject?

My release bearing seems to rattle a little on idle with clutch not pressed and goes when I press the clutch.

Do Toyota class this as driveline or clutch system, as in wearable item?

Admittedly the car is now supercharged but this in my eyes this component doesn't  transfer the power anyway.. but might porvide the dealer with a bit of 'a wriggle out of it manouver'. I bought the car from the local dealer with 11.5k on the clock last year in june/july and it only has done ~2.5k since.. it's not too bad really but it annoys me. What do you think? Cheers for  any input.

  3. Ive had the back end out to almost 90* in both directions with vsc sport on.. it was all set to throw me off the road untill I let off the throttle. However on the same drive it didnt spin up when puling off..  saying that, I never pull away very hard but I am supercharged too on stock tyres.

  4. I noticed the same thing after I picked up my car. I took it back to the dealer and they replaced the seat cover after ordering the parts with no fuss at all. Even if it was you that accidentally did it (I know it wasn't) its still a warranty repair IMO.

  5. Big screwdriver behind the side trim from the foot well, locate it (the pocket) all and push the pocket out, one side at a time. Removing the padded side trim will help, Can't remember for definite but think it just pulls out.. I'd check that though, but it was easy either way when I did it. no need to remove the stereo.

It's an issue all cars have lo greater or lesser extent. I look forward to the day when there is a user angled camera on the outsides of all the pillars and  user  angled screens on the inside, thus, in effect making the pillars have windows in them.  Patent applied :)

Wasnt an ISsue at all on my e93 m3.. but then there Were no b pillars and a good size rear side window.

  7. I had a 2013 and now a 2015 crv and they seem the same to me... Apart from the cornering lights that have been changed to LED on the '15 where they were halogen on the '13 but as you would know they only turn on at lower speeds when turning the wheel. think its the height of the car as said before as both my crv s past and present blind people coming off my drive but my '14 civic didn't..(id imagine its the same hid in all 3).
