Polishingpedlar 49 Report post Posted June 6, 2016 Had a fun day today at Thruxton with the Farther in law doing the skid experience day. Started in a front drive mini then swapped over to the GT86. mini was not nice and went quickly into oversteer. Was worse with all AIDS on! Toyota was great fun and our instructor praised what a great car it is and how balanced it is. He also said he'd prefer his daughter to drive a GT86 over a mini any day as it's easier to control. Would recommend this event as a first stage for anyone before they venture out on their first track day.
HariboPenguin 116 Report post Posted June 6, 2016 Been looking around for something like this which uses an 86 for a while. I'll definitely have to give this a go to get some proper practice without the worry of doing any damage to my own car or tyres.
surrey86 352 Report post Posted June 6, 2016 Sounds like a good day out. The problem with track days is you aren't really supposed to slide it. Some venues stricter than others!
