bloo 0 Report post Posted January 30, 2016 Does anyone use their cars to transport muddy/wet stuff and has found a way to properly protect the innards? I have been looking for a few weeks now for ways to keep my boot clean when transporting bikes, kitesurf stuff etc. Google turned up something called a safe bag, which is basically a large bag that fills the whole boot, with one opening at the boot. This means it protects the top/sides of the car as well as just the floor (I need my seats down to fit the mountain bike in). The other benefit is that it hides whatever you have in the boot. Unfortunately, and perhaps predictably, they don't make them for GT86 so I need to improvise slightly. According to here the GT86 boot is 136cm deep with seats down, 140cm at its widest and 40cm high at the boot opening. Looking through the models they do I have found one for another car model with approx correct dimensions. This model is long enough, easily high enough and will be wide enough when using the spare material meant for the unused height. I think i'll need to butcher it slightly to get the correct fit, but it shouldn't be too far off. I'll keep you updated with how I get on, but interested to hear if anyone else has done anything similar. thanks Pete
rob275 1817 Report post Posted January 30, 2016 Not heard of these, though there are rubber mats available for the GT86 which might suit you? It won't protect the sides obviously but it depends how anal you are about it.

Nicebiscuit 655 Report post Posted January 31, 2016 It's not a bad idea that. It's not that anal - only takes one leaky carton of milk from Tesco to ruin your car permanently... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
