Guest Report post Posted July 17, 2015 It is very easy.. I finish work at 16:00. The last time I took the engine out of mine, I finished work, went home, changed and had the engine out by 18:05.The UK cars don't have those fuel line connectors.I cannot believe they lifted the engine on the plastic manifold!!! iddrew 86 Report post Posted July 17, 2015 From what i can see they're actually using the engine hoist mounts not passing the chain under the manifold! i was shocked too! So if we don't have those fuel line connectors, how do our fuel lines connect?
Guest Report post Posted July 17, 2015 There is a bolted on lifting bracket on the rear right of the engine. For the front, there is an M14 x 1.5 tapped hole next to the air con compressor. I have made a lifting tool using a long bolt and a 7/16" eyebolt.. you can see it here..The fuel lines on UK cars have jubilee clips holding the rubber pipes to the steel pipes.
