iddrew 86 Report post Posted July 12, 2015 Hey all, I have a question which i've been thinking about for weeks and think it's best to discuss here. As you all know i have fitted an HKS V2 Supercharger. Along with that i have also fitted the HKS Spec-S Oil Cooler. Question is this: how do you change the engine oil and effectively flush out all the oil in the oil cooler, cooler lines etc etc? The RX7/8 rotary guys usually run compressed air through the oil filler neck and low and behold the oil squirts out the sump drain. But i'm not sure if it's the correct method to do so with our engines! Thanks in advance Andrew
Lee 82 Report post Posted July 12, 2015 If you have no concerns with the drained oil, excess debris etc then I wouldnt worry about 'flushing' so much providing you are using the same oil or compatible oils. I changed from millers 0w-20 to 5w-40 and didnt bother with flushing the oil cooler. No harm done. 1 Ade reacted to this
