    GT86 Pro-Line Boot Rubber Liner

That would be a good idea, I'm not too worried about that for my uses. I saw a couple fabric ones like that but I wanted it to be moulded rubber.
  2. Hi All, I've been looking for a decent quality boot/trunk liner and there are a bunch online and I couldn't find a genuine Toyota one (did they make one?) so I bought a 'Frogum Pro-Line TM Taylored' one off eBay for just under £40. I thought I would share some picks in case anyone else is looking for one as I think it is quite good. It is softer than I expected so it is easy to fit and is supplied folded in a box. Because it was folded it is not totally flat in the boot but I'm confident it will settle out nicely after a couple weeks in place. It fits very well, it says GT86 in the text but I was worried it was a generic model in roughly the right shape but its clearly purpose designed to fir the GT86. The edges press against the sides I think this is good in case something is spilled in there. It says it comes from the UK but it doesn't, it was shipped from Poland. I had a few days delays due the couriers prioritising other deliveries due to the virus so it took 10 days in total. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TM-TAILORED-RUBBER-BOOT-LINER-MAT-TRAY-for-TOYOTA-GT86-since-2012/303463530871 Forgive my car being dirty I've washed it twice in the last few weeks but I can't seem to keep it clean with some kind of sandy rain recently. By the way, I have no affiliation to this company at all. I couldn't find any images of one fitted so I thought I would share for others to find on google. Cheers, Alan
  3. I know we are far from summer and I don't need one yet but I thought I'l put up a wanted ad anyway. Perhaps your selling your 86 and have a TRD sunshade (MS010-18000) available? I don't want a new one at the prices I can find so used will be fine. Cheers, Alan

Sorry I haven't replied sooner, thanks for the tips on the camera. The car is great, its just a shame I can't really drive it at the moment.

Thanks, it is in really nice condition, the tail lights fog I've noticed but the rest looks great. Is this the adaptor you used? It looks different from the ones in the videos on YouTube. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Connects2-CAM-TY2-AD-For-Toyota-GT-86-12-15-Car-Reverse-Camera-Add-On-Interface/263685964134?hash=item3d64e88166:g:o7oAAOSwMm1a4ZIu

I finally got one and I love it. I would like to add a reverse camera, videos online make it look easy but I can't find a kit for sale in the uk. Is there one?

The one I like won't budge on price and I think its overpriced for the mileage and interior spec so I'm looking for another one, I've created a thread if anyone reading this knows of one.
  8. Hi, I'm looking to join the GT86 club. I'm after red paint with an auto box in good condition, ideally about 50k mileage, decent service history and not the red steering wheel interior. Something without any scratches or major dents. I live near brands hatch and would consider travelling about 100 miles to view. CAR FOUND AND PURCHASED, NO LONGER LOOKING Cheers, Alan

    Looking to Buy Soon

Hi again, I test drove a GT86 today and enjoyed it. I want to buy one but now to decide what the right one is. I liked the one I saw but I have a couple questions. I noticed the slight hint of rust on the base of the drivers front window pillar. It is a 2014 model so out of warranty. Is this something that will turn into a major problem? The headlight jet cover and the door handle on one side seemed a bit faded (lighter shade), is this common? I'm assuming these will brighten up with some TLC? I would believe so. One rim has some scratches, Is this expensive to put right? I think they can be re-cut? Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the information, I appreciate you taking the time to post. Now to wait for the insurance to write off my car, or for them to repair it then sell it. Then I can buy one of these.

    Looking to Buy Soon

Hi All, I'm looking to buy a GT86 soon. I'm after a first gen, with an automatic gearbox (commuting in it) in red around the £10-11k region. My car history is a Ford Fusion and Mercedes A150 and a Fort Transit so this is a nice step up. I'm after a sporty car with an ok mpg so this seems like the better choice from me over a 350z. My history is in fast motorbikes so this is the first time I've looked for a decent car. I wanted to get opinions on things I should check GT86 specific. Where should I look for rust? What are the most important parts of the service history to look for? Plugs look like a pain. Should I check with an OBD? Is the auto gearbox reliable? Was reversing camera an option? How bad is the flat spot I keep hearing about. Any advice you can give would be great. I apologise if there is already a buyers guide I didn't find. Cheers, Alan
