It's easy enough to do, if a little fiddly. You can remove the slave to make things easier but don't have to. Just pull the small rubber boot over and slather grease inside the top of the gearbox on the fork. You'll be able to feel it, but it is a bit of a faff.

I grease mine a couple of times a year. The noise comes back but hey ho.

Apologies for not updating this thread. Focus ended up being on social media which helped us find the car. My friend spotted it and I was with it in 6 hours of being stolen. 
Unfortunately they have ruined the engine which explains why it was abandoned on a slip road off the Princess Parkway by Mersey Bank estate Manchester. 
We got it recovered and had it home by 5.30pm on Saturday. Mark is now going through the insurance. Insured through Greenlight btw. 
Can't see any other way than it being written off with the engine gone and needing a lock set. We did get Richard at RRG to price up for a new engine and lock set, which came in at £15K and even with an expected discount would not be viable. 
There is a possibility that Mark will buy it back from insurance but it will depend on what they pay out and how much they want for a buy back. In that event it will likely be broken for parts.
A sad end for the car. I've had to up the security on the GR and the house. Not cheap. 

We are pretty much definite it was one burglar who came in. I expect if I had got up sooner they would have legged it. The most common response by far, the police said. The last thing they want is confrontation. What is properly scary is that it took us 10 minutes to get through on 999. 
With that in mind, various trophies and stuff are now positioned around the house, just in case. Not sure I'd be brave enough to clobber a burglar, but just in case we are. 
Mark won't be leaving his keys downstairs again. Fortunately I am far more careful with mine. 
Disklok fitted and Ghost being installed tomorrow. Obviously anti snap locks fitted by locksmith last Saturday. Will think about posts too. 

Mine has cost me, apart from obvious costs : A pair of headlamp bulbs and a door courtesy light bulb in 3 years and around 25k miles. Used every day. 

When I trade mine in I'm just going to stick the original rear lights on and jack the coilovers up to what looks like a standard height.
I'll leave the exhaust, it's not that loud when hot. I can't be faffed with taking suspension and exhaust off, I'll only have them sitting in the garden for months while someone offers me 47p on Facebook for them.

If I wanted a hatch-box I could leave my appreciation of beauty behind and buy any one of 30 different models most of which look the same.
There is only one 86/BRZ and we know why we drive them.

I'd give it a go. I'm already a mod elsewhere, which to be honest runs itself. 99% of the folk on there are blokes in their 50's 😂

I'm still a mod on the RCZ forum, we used to get loads and loads of crap. They revamped the forum and now we have a great filter system.
It scans IP addresses and checks them against a blacklist, and flags usernames too.
Means we rarely get much crap posted these days.

Try not to pinch the seals by wanging them up too tight, that might help.

I must admit the first time I drove mine after I'd changed the Michelins I thought I'd ruined it.
