Collection and delivery would be useful for people like myself, but would depend on if the cost was cheaper than fuel each way and an overnight stop.
You thinking of going up north or heading south?
Another idea would be what about a drop off and collection from a local hotel?

Maybe I could suggest a 86/brz discount for a track day around the Lotus circuit   yup forgot wheels!

Yup forgot about them! They are 18 inch RS style wheels ET35 5x100. had nothing to cover the centre so slapped some toyota badges i had spare 😅
Hmm shall i suggest a Lotus/86/brz collaboration? that would be one heck of a car... 😍

So I managed to track down the previous owner (very creepy I know!).
The car has a tuning developments n/a pack on it, so exhaust manifold, panel filter and a remap! Rest of the exhaust is standard. as is the rest of the car apart from Maxton designs splitter and side skirts

Badger reacted to Leeky in Test drove GT86 - not inspired, what have I missed?
I was exactly the same. I drove a manual Dark Grey 86 back in 2012 when the dealers first got their demo’s and I thought it was alright but didn't blow me away. Sure it was very light and nimble but I wouldn’t have traded in my Celica GT4 at the time for it.
Then 5 years later I drove my wife to Toyota in my Monaro VXR to take delivery of her new Aygo she ordered. Whilst there I sat in their showroom 86 (just for something to do) and before I knew it I was talked into having a go in an Orange Auto PreFacelift car - No strings attached. I drove it very hard (as I scoffed at the little 200bhp 2.0 next to my 500bhp 6.0 LS2) but was blown away with how much faster overall I could drive it compared to the Monaro. The flappy paddle auto just blew my mind. I was able to keep the engine right on the boil through the gears without backing off. I could see that the 86 was clearly a better track car than the Monaro and just needed slightly stickier tyres to turn it into maniac. I loved it so much, I bought that Orange 86 there and then.
You can exploit 100% of the 86’s power 100% of the time if you wish. If I tried to do the same in the Monaro I would die very quickly.
The 86 is a bit of a wolf in sheep's clothing if you ask me. Its greater than the sum of its parts and the figures would have you believe.
I find at all the track days I go to the stock 86’s are matching the stock E46 M3’s and 231PS RX8’s and in some cases showing them up. The figures on paper dont suggest this is possible. But its just such a great chassis and weighs so little.
Also if fuel economy is important for you on long journeys then this is a great car for you. On long motorway journeys cruising at legal speed I reset the trip and am always averaging over 50mpg.

    Hi all.
I will be booking a Club Stand at the Japanese Auto Matsuri in 2020.
This continues to be a great social event for the club with a good attendance by the members. It is a great day to come and have a chat and check out the various paths people have taken down the modification route.
Entry for show cars is FREE, but f you wish to make a donation to the Museum that would be greatly appreciated.
I look forward to meeting you there.

Not long now, suggest we park in the same place as last year in the Pizza Hut car park, table booked for 19:30 but as it’s a buffet not a prob if you running late.
They have asked if we can pay for food as a group, and pay for drinks separately at the till. so if possible I will collect money for meal at the table please.
Looking forward to seeing you all there.
Still places available for more if you wish to come.

The price per person is £14.80 exc drinks

Still lots happening behind the scenes, with the car going back to Carson Performance on Monday for a bit of prep work whilst the engine is being worked on elsewhere.
The heads are still undergoing a porting and rebuild procedure, but unfortunately it's come to a stop whilst we wait on some new, stronger, bronze valve guides from New Zealand.
And I'm now anxiously waiting on parts from all over the globe! My most favourite being a very neat bit of kit called an interchiller, which essentially works the same as a Water-to-air intercooler for the supercharger, but the fluid is further cooled using the A/C system to get FREEZING inlet temps which of course means more power.
Not a cheap bit of kit and looks quite fiddly to install, but very exciting nevertheless.
Stay tuned for big updates over the next few weeks...

    Hi All,
After drooling after them for years, took the plunge on a rather nice 2013 GT86!
Now onto a question, of course :) I want to get a space saver wheel for it, but not sure of the dimensions / tyre size to get.  Would https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/135-70-R16-Bridgestone-Subaru-5x100-Spacesaver-100M/123817698352?hash=item1cd41c2430:g:ASMAAOSw-hVdFb7e  be likely to fit?  I think its correct bolt spacing, but not sure on brake clearance, diameter etc...

Enjoy the Izzard! I'm sad I couldn't get tickets to this show, but all the good acts sell out the Corn Exchange very quickly. The Queen Ann carpark is cheaper than the Grand Arcade FWIW. It's a bit tight though!

My 2015 BRZ is booked in at Cambridge Subaru this Friday to have a cable type noice investigated coming from the passenger window this Friday and I got an email from the service department this morning saying that there has just been a recall issued for the brake light switch that they will complete this Friday as the car is already with them. This recall must be quite new as I am yet to find any information on it. There is one issued for the Impreza (maybe the BRZ uses the same part). They are also doing the mot for me at the same time (I did have it booked this Saturday locally) but this way I won't have to pay too much parking in Cambridge (already up there for the day / evening anyway)

I'll start this thread here and recap.
White 2017 BRZ bought as a dealer demo with only 2000 miles on the clock.  I love the purity of the design, all based around driver enjoyment and a few creature comforts but no additional thrills.  Nice engine, great chassis, comfortable seats, crap radio.  As I said, it's all about the driving.
    Mods to date:
TD UEL NA package, TD full catback exhaust with Super Resonator.  I have left the 2nd cat in place to remain vaguely legal.  TD inlet pipe, HKS inlet duct, sound delete.  Rota Blitz 17x8 ET35 wheels with 225/45 Michelin Pilot Sport 4s and replacement TPMS sensors.  H&R Super Sport springs with about 33mm lowering.

A few years ago one of my old clubs (Hyundai coupes) arranged a meeting at brooklands and we couldn't work out why we needed to fill in a risk assessment and all meet at a certain gate at the same time. Turned out they parked us on display right by the entrance before we all went to the pub for lunch. Was a really good day.
