I have those rubber mats, too. They're nice and pick out the red stitching in mine.

Life has got in the way a little over the last week, so not touched the BRZ, however one update I had was a picture from Grigul Design/LederManZ.  I sent them a stock BRZ/86 wheel a couple of weeks ago now for them to retrim.  Its looking much tastier now, I cant wait to get my hands on it.  Due for delivery in the next 3 days:

Its looking a top job from what I can see so far with the alcantara/leather mix, red stitching/centre marker, flat bottom and a little bit of extra padding.

Excellent rebuild. A unique BRZ (and they're rare enough to start with).

A quick update on progress with the BRZ, had very little time to work on it however its gone pretty smoothly so far.  The only major issue I have so far is the fact facelift washer jet covers for the front bumper do not fit pre-facelift headlight washer jets themselves, which is annoying as I had bought them separately as they were missing off the car.  Solution is to do away with headlight washers and just stick the covers to the bumper, or a more sensible solution is to source facelift washers, very hard to come by and expensive from the dealer.

Sundays job involved stripping the front end down:
    - Removing the wings as they werent bolted on properly, they were only on for ease of transport

    - Refitting the wings
    - Fit headlights
    - Fit HID kit for headlights
    - Fit bonnet struts from Fensport
    - Wire in the new aftermarket yellow fog lights
    - Wire the drivers side repeater as that was destroyed
    - Sort panel gap

    - Fit bumper under tray
    - Fit front bumper
    - Refit a load of plastic engine bay trim

I still have a pile of stock bits to fit like wheel arch liners, number plates etc then its ready for an MOT and back on the road.  Then the modding can begin.

That’s always a benefit of getting a good quality paint job. It’s always much thicker and therefore more durable than most manufacturers put on.

I'd be so paranoid if I sprayed my car. Are you considering ppf or anything like that protective film?

That's coming together nicely.  Black gloss door mirrors will match it well.

It certainly does, not many green ones about.  Ive never seen a Porsche RS green one.
Here is the photoshop I created which covers my plans for the BRZ based off a yellow STI from Japan, lets see how close I get to it:

Still a long way to go, it certainly wont remain stock for long, plenty of parts ready to go on it one rebuilt.  So pleased with the colour it came out perfect and gives me a matching pair with my Mini.

Nice, I've heard good things about them too.  I love a bit of alcantara.
I've just sent a spare steering wheel for my BRZ to Ledermanz/Grigul Design.  https://www.instagram.com/grigul_design/
They have done a couple of Mini steering wheels for me in the past that I was happy with, so cant wait to get it back.  Gone for a  similar design to the wheel they did for me on my current Mini JCW.  Will post up once its back.

I have had real bad experience with bright colours that idiots tend to key them. Since mine is a daily, I wouldn't venture too far into exclusive colours but that's my use case. Waiting for the reveal mate. You are building it up

Strange, I've only heard good things about their lines, they are very popular in the new mini space and not heard of any failing.  Hope you get it sorted.

Day 86 - The wheels are back from the refurbisher
As mentioned above, I picked up some super cheaper Rota Grids that looked like they had seen better days to get me off stock wheels until I can get some TE37's.   I sent them off to City Wheel Refurbishment https://www.citywheelrefurbishment.co.uk/ in Birmingham who have done many sets of wheels for me and other mates in the past.  I decided to go with a matt bronze finish, I have had the gloss version from them before but fancied something a little different, this colour should work well with the new body colour once done.  It took a couple of weeks for them to turn them around due to whats going on at the moment but they did a great job especially for the price.  £205 including tyre remove/fitting/balancing, it could have been even cheaper at around £30 a wheel if I had gone for a more standard colour such as black/silver and they didn't have to remove/fit/balance tyres.  Great service if anyone is looking for somewhere to get theirs wheels done.
Ignore the budget tyres, they came pretty much free with the wheels and are literally brand new so threw them on to keep the car rolling while I continue to build it.
