Booboo got a reaction from Adrian@TORQEN in Torqen Experience
My buying experience with Torqen was excellent
I purchased an ARK GRiP Exhaust System last year and had no issues whatsoever. I was advised there was stock available on enquiry and was given a rough delivery date. I received an electronic receipt upon purchase, enquiries were answered immediately by email and I was kept up to date with the delivery date which arrived as stated within 7 days

Booboo reacted to Leeky in Battery recomendations
Im using a SuperBatt 072 80ah 650cca
You can find them on ebay for £65 and they are pretty much the most powerful battery you can find that fits in the standard 86 battery tray.

Booboo reacted to BRZ-123 in Battery recomendations
The above by@Leeky seems the best deal. Otherwise you can go to tayna.co.uk and the 2 big brand choices I can suggest are
Yuasa YBX3031, 3000, 72Ah, 630A , 18.4 Kg, dimensions 26.0*17.4*22.5 (£74.97 delivered)
Varta 70Ah, 630A, E24DIN570 413 063 , dimension 26.1 cm * 17.5 * 22 ( to top of terminal) (£65.89)
The prices may not be accurate as i noted it a while ago.

Yuasa YBX3014 60Ah is what I bought to replace the feeble Panasonic in my 2017 BRZ.

Booboo got a reaction from Leeky in 19x7.5 alloys for sale
Something a bit different
Kahn RSV (Aston Martin design) 19x7.5. 5x100, ET45 in silver. kahn centre caps and metal spigot rings to fit 56.1 centre bore included
Purchased new by myself, these have had less than 500 miles road use. Three unmarked and one with small marks on the spokes (done whilst photographing them 😭)
Tyres in photo are 225x40x19 and these will be removed
Taking up valuable garage space so need these gone
£350
Collection only or arrange your own carrier

Booboo got a reaction from gavin_t in Coilover help required
Yep, agreed Gavin, a right pain in the **** Not something I would have expected from a fairly spicy priced set of coilovers 🙄 Stock mounts are being fitted to the dampers today and will be taken for a little test drive so will get some feedback on how that worked out.

Booboo reacted to Rexer200 in Replacement for Ohlins R&T
I’m very happy with the suspension now that the alignment is setup together with the 50/50 Ohlins springs and the Ohlins top mounts. This is how it should’ve been, Ohlins messed up when they offered the lower rate springs IMHO.
Ride comfort is great on the 50’s too better than on the 40/30 softer springs as I can run the dampers softer on the road.
And yes my rear dampers at least have 30 clicks total

Booboo reacted to Ade in Catback that looks like std?
I designed the Helmholtz chambers to kill noise in the 2-4k region. My main issue was wot on the wotorway in 6th gear.
They reduced noise at 3k by about 10dB.
Regarding aero. I haven't got a sausage but I like the noise. A bigger bore cat back can gain you 10-15hp on a supercharged car. Stock one is quite restrictive with forced induction.
It doesn't look very stock though with the big twin Y silencers on the back.
Their standard prices are using the stock tips. You can spec your own if you want with H&S.

Booboo reacted to HariboPenguin in Big brake kit time?
Yeah I can highly recommend the Cossie / AP kit. One of the best mods that I did to my car. They give so much more confidence on track and will take whatever you throw at them in their stride whilst staying consistent throughout.
If you don't want 18's though I'd recommend the standard AP kits or one of the Reyland kits that are AP but with their own mounting hardware or disc options that can reduce the cost. There are also other kits out there that are just as good but I'd stick to the proven brands such as AP, Stoptech, Brembo and Alcon (Megabucks, but pretty much cream of the crop in terms of brakes)
It's really not worth going for the cheaper kits like K-Sport if you're serious about tracking. Proper kits are built to handle much more stress and are also lighter and give better feel which is important when you are braking as late as possible on track, you need that confidence that every time you hit that pedal you are going to get the braking performance and feedback you expect and that they will never let you down.
Also don't get caught up in the "more pistons, means it's better" BS, this isn't true at all and is normally how most of the cheaper kits try and blag that they are better. A well designed caliper with fewer pistons can easily outperform a badly designed one which just has as many pistons as they could cram in there cause bigger numbers look better. I've toured Alcon's factory and the amount of engineering, R&D and product testing that goes in to making these kits is insane, you won't get anywhere near that with cheap brands like K-Sport.
Definitely get a master cylinder brace too as others have suggested, improves the pedal feel quite a bit, especially under heavy braking.

You could try Gary at GRSengineering. He can make top mounts for you I would think. He's based in Macclesfield.

Say Lauren sent you. If he can help you, he will.

Booboo reacted to will300 in BBK Options
@Mike
Here some of my observations of the various kits - bare in mind I thought about this for 18 months before committing to the Reyland kit.
I actually ordered but then cancelled both the Essex AP Racing Sprint kit and the Godspeed AP kit, before settling on the Reyland kit, this was after speaking with @Ade and one of the technical team at AP Racing.
These are for the approx 330mm kits (355mm+ kits have different requirements)
Reyland - AP Kit:
Pro's:
AP Caliper - CP9200 (2 piece aluminum body) 4 Pistons Dust Boots - Made by Brembo Perfect for Street and track Common Pad Size 330mm x 28mm discs - 2 piece Good thermal capacity High quality caliper by premium brake manufacturer. Clear's the majority of 17" wheels Latest design of caliper by AP Racing - including new paint finish Used by various members of the community - with extensive track use Con's:
Reasonably expensive Custom made brackets, which you need to shim to get perfect fitment Won't fit under stock wheels without spacer.
Godspeed - Brembo's:
Pro's:
Brembo caliper 4 piston Dust boots 330 x 28 discs 2 piece discs Cheap Con's:
Unknown caliper model Unknown caliper material Unknown piston sizes - not sure what effect this will have on brake bias Unknown pad size No brake lines included
Godspeed - AP Kit:
Pro's:
AP Caliper - CP9040 (2 piece aluminum body) Dust Boots - Made by Brembo Common Pad Size Good thermal capacity High quality caliper by premium brake manufacturer. Latest design of caliper by AP Racing - including new paint finish Con's
Reasonably expensive Caliper designed for a 362mm disc - not 330mm as included Caliper designed for a 32mm thick disc - not 30mm as included Ø330mm disc in this caliper will leave a fairly large gap between the discs OD and the calipers disc pathway and this gap can be prone to collecting road debris. 6 pistons - overkill No brake lines included
K-Sport:
Pro's:
Cheap Used by various members of the community - with extensive track use Clear's the majority of 17" wheels Complete kit - Calipers, Pads, Brake lines, brackets, discs 330mm x 32mm? disc - 2 piece Dust boots Perfect for Street and track Con's

Booboo got a reaction from Lauren in Early outing on track
Great members track day out on Anglesey Circuit on Sunday morning. Was a bit nervous about the recent temps but miraculously weather warmed up overnight to approx 6 degrees when we arrived at 9am. Rain threatened later in the morning but the track remained dry. Only approx 15 vehicles attended so had plenty of time out on track. In fact I must have done about 20 laps throughout the day without another vehicle near me which was great for getting those lines perfect time after time.
My first few track days have been with all traction gadgets deployed but getting braver now and this was the first time the track button was depressed for the whole session. I span it just the once coming out of Rocket but as it was largely quiet on track not an issue
Check out those Cortina's🤗
