You know what, even though personally I would quite like the classic spoiler look...It's not a game changer, and perhaps not having a spoiler and being "rarer" is actually quite appealing.  Might hold off for the time being. Thanks for the advice though.

I would see if another red gt86 wants to swap boots with you. Lots of people want a plain boot to add their own spoiler on without having to fix the holes that are left behind by the standard spoiler. Changing boots is a very simple job of a matter of a few bolts on the hinges unplugging and chasing through the wiring for the number plate lights and changing number plates.

Washed the car today and found my passenger side wiper blade in a very poor state. Down to Halfrauds and got a set of 20/22" wipers for £23. Bosch, done (sorry)!

Just wanted to say thank you to you @sam534 for making this tutorial. I found it very helpful especially noting down the part numbers and identifying which wire did what in the dashboard tweeters. I’ve recently upgraded the speakers and treated the doors to some rust protection and sound deadening material. The sound quality is vastly improved and the door doesn’t rattle so much from the bass in the better speakers. Job well done.

There is some slight movement with the clip when it is connected to the radio, so i have added a small piece of 3m tape onto the bottom of the clip and reinstalled. This appears to have removed the movement and is now more secure when clipped in.

Hi, I’m looking to order my bbk just torn between the Reyland 4pots and the ksport set.
I know there is plenty of good reviews of the ap callipers that reyland use. Is there any feedback regarding the ksports? I think there was a few issues early on but they redesigned them, on my previous car ksports were really popular and had good reviews.
ksports pro’s are cheaper outright price, bigger discs and come in yellow which I wanted. Reyland have a lot of positive reviews.
car is now mainly just used for fun and prob 3-4trackdays I’d like to do this year

Something I  will have to have a good look into. The Tuning developments on is best on price but as you say is just basic pipes, cooler and sandwich plate.

Just been flicking through merlin motorsports catalogue and it does look like you could spec a good one yourself from their parts catalogue. Only thing I would need to cross reference with someone is the pipe lengths.
Speccing your own would mean you could choose the most suitable connectors, a higher temperature opening thermostat etc.

If you are going down that route put the 46 on the back. The rear arches are larger than the front and swallow up more wheel. I have 5mm wider spacers on the rear than the front to get them to look the same.

The first model year of the Aero (might be the 1st and 2nd year cars) came with the OZ wheels, which was a limited OEM run. After this first (or second) year Toyota swapped the Aero wheels to a generic 86 wheel.
They weren't available to buy though distributors which is why you can't find any with a ET46 offset.
If your looking to buy a brand new set, these are the wheel specs I'd go with:

That sounds so .. horribly simplistic & basic!
Probably more reliable than the electronic type ... on my old Alfa the wires to the pad sensors fell out after a couple of months! They weren't cheap pads either (they were a good brand as when I use the brakes I want to stop!) I super-glued them back in the holes in the pads to stop them flopping around but doubt they would work. I just had to check them more often visually.

I use rbf600 as its simple and easy and to have the piece of mind that your fluid won't boil on track is worth the couple of extra quid cost on fluid and to do a yearly change.

    I haven't don't lines yet.

sam534 got a reaction from James7 in Recall issued on cars to have valve springs replaced 2012-2013
The sealant is about £4 worth. Had my baffle plate fitted by rogue Motorsport on the weekend. I would say that cost for the baffle plate is reasonable. It will take them probably a lot more time than that if they show due care and attention, cleaning up the sump and block could take a while.
However the manifold has to be taken off and put on with the recall. I think RRG actually left my manifold attached with the front pipe and just detached it from the block. I think that's a stupid cost anything more than 100 quid would be ridiculous.

A bit of autosol metal polish will have those tips shining lovely. The decay pipe along with the n1 is going to be about as loud as an 86 can get as you have 0 muffler and basically a straight pipe all the way through. The cold start unless you get it mapped out will be very very loud.
