    Hello from Arizona

Thanks, Lauren for the welcome. In the U.S., it's called either the "Special Edition" or the "860" (instead of "86"). It's available in the orange that I have or what Toyota USA calls "Halo", which is either white or off-white. It almost looks as if this was originally a "halo" car that was re-sprayed orange. You can actually see the paint spray pattern fade from one color to the other under the bonnet. I haven't lifted the carpet in the boot yet, but I did stick my head in and look up inside underneath the rear window. It is painted orange, but the paint is very thin, so that areas of white show through.

    Hello from Arizona

Just picked up my new 86, and I have a dumb question. I don't remember ever seeing a car where the engine bay was not painted either black or body color. On mine, it's white, and looks like the car was painted orange (supernova) with the bonnet closed. Even the underside of the bonnet is white, not orange. Are other people's cars like this? Thanks!
