Another video is up on the channel. I don't think there's much to say about this one other than the fact that i installed the side skirts and by the end of it the car was looking AMAZING.   Check it out! https://youtu.be/ewlGILHD83M

The problem with the Primacies isn't that you have to adjust your driving in the wet - it's that you have to drive ridiculously cautiously. They really are much worse in the cold and wet than in the dry, and when they lose grip in wet conditions they do it without any warning. It's a cliff edge: grip, then suddenly you're sideways or lighting up the dashboard. I don't consider changing tyres to be a modification. It's not like running semi slicks; PS4 are road tyres that come as standard fit on mid range hot hatches!
The Primacies require too much compromise in your driving and it's just a complete waste of a sports car to have them fitted. Lateral grip isn't too bad in the dry but even then I found the traction pretty poor.
As for using all-seasons tyres, that's just as pointless as using winters. If you're switching between all-seasons and Primacies, you still have a highly compromised "summer" tyre if it rains in the summer - which it often does. PS4 will work year round, and the car is less horrible to drive in the middle of winter on those than it is on a wet summer's day on Primacies.

Primacies are rubbish when it's cold or wet, which is half the year - and sometimes in the middle of summer, before anyone suggests buying winter tyres, which is just a waste of time in most of the UK. They are just not good enough for a 200bhp car. PS4 are much better and perfectly good enough in the wet to be used year round. I've never had any issues with tramlining and don't see why you would, unless you were running very wide wheels.
FWIW my Primacies came off at about 20k miles and still had a ton of tread, after several track days. They would've easily done another 10k. I'm glad I didn't wait for them to wear out.

    Day 35
So its been a long wait for the slam panel, but its finally arrived from Japan.  Subaru called today to say the parts are in but the local dealership was closed.  They then offered an olive branch that they would deliver it FOC as they had a driver passing by house, so a contactless delivery happened this morning.
So excited as this was the final piece of the puzzle for the front end that I didn;t have alongside the little brackets/seals in the picture that also arrived.  It means tonight I can start building the front bumper and bolting the brackets to the front wings etc.

I will also get the rest of the car stripped down ready for paint with all the mirrors, door cards, handles, seals etc to be removed.  Will try and do removal videos for each items coming off the car to add to the "how to" content on my youtube channel.  As mentioned the car will be getting a complete colour change so all door shuts etc need painting.
Once this is done I need to sort getting the car over to a friend to ensure it is all straight, he will also do all the welding to fit the new slam panel so we can test fit the lights, bumper etc to to help line up the front end before it goes over to the bodyshop which is 5 mins away from them.  This is all dependent are who is still working or not through this as I know even getting the car there may be an issue as not sure what transports companies if any are still working and the car isn't in a position to be driven on the road.
So for now I will work on what I can get done at home to prep it all and see what responses I can get off the other links in the chain.
Also as I have gone for the USA spec front bumper bar cover with no number plate holes, I purchased a number plate holder that bolts to towing eye threads

Luckily I don't need any more body parts to go to paint, the genuine STI skirts, lip and rear bumper trim all come finished in black so no need to get them painted to match the car, decided to wait until all this blows over and order the genuine STI parts direct from Japan rather than go for rep parts.

Yes I was also planning to do that when I get the NA Kit as well haha 👍😂 only issue is I haven't got a jack atm so can't lift up the car.
Also, for anyone who wants a guide this video I followed is perfect. Really easy and clear.

Nice, I'm tempted by one of those too. I'd also recommend the shift spring and gearbox mount insert, really cheap and you'll enjoy changing gear even more with those fitted. Mike did mine when I had the NA kit & exhaust fitted and I was blown away by the difference in gearbox feel.

    Mtec clutch spring!
Thanks a lot @Mike@TD.co.uk, delivered in a day like he said!

Install was fairly straightforward, although very very uncomfortable and tight due to the lack of space in the footwell and engine bay.
Once the clutch pedal assembly is off, rest is easy. Getting it off was the pain for me.

First impressions on a short drive to Tesco, clutch is slightly firmer and removes the initial play/sponginess in the stock spring. Engagement and feel is improved drastically and can actually feel the bite point. Also, makes changing gears more enjoyable and faster as the clutch springs back up more.
Would recommend, simple and cheap mod.

Update 20/03/2020 - Bucket Seat Fitting
At the start of the year myself, @Deacon & @Keethos were lucky enough to get some very cheap tickets for the AutoSport International show at the NEC. Normally we wouldn't bother going as the show can be very hit and miss, however as the tickets were cheap we thought why not. Whilst we was there, we heard that Cobra Seats were doing a special show discount on all seats ordered at the show. There was one particular seat I was interested in, the Cobra Nogaro. I'd seen this seat fitted to Paul Cowlands BRZ back in 2015 (https://twitter.com/paulcowland_/status/556138688988864512), and thought it worked really well with our stock interior. I particularly liked this seat as it's supportive but shouldn't sacrifice to much daily comfort, should be easily to get in and out of due to the low bolsters and you can also use the factory OEM seat belt with it. However due to the price and the fact I would rather have a Edirb 023/033 seat I basically ignored the idea, that was until I heard about Cobra's generous discount offer.
After speaking with @Deacon at the show we both agreed to buy one seat each, and would sell the seat to the other person if we didn't like it once fitted. A simple specification was given to Cobra, alcantara center, leather sides and red stitching, to match the OEM interior. Now the next hurdle would be sourcing some seat mounts, I didn't specifically want a fixed mount and I wasn't happy with the aftermarket options available, due the reports of flexing and various rattles/creaks they can make. This is another reason why I didn't consider buying an aftermarket seats before now. However about 6 months ago a post was made on the FT86Club forum by an owner in the US, who found a company which manufactures seat mounts in house that utilize the OEM sliders for multiple different cars and had just developed a set for his BRZ (link: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=137015), these looked like the perfect solution. I showed the guys at Rogue Motorsport this seat mount design and asked them what they thought about this design. They basically said, that it looks like a functional design, but was concerned about whether it'd fit with the Cobra Nogaro seats. They also said they'd probably be able to make them cheaper (once you've added on shipping and taxes, etc).
Two months later, the seats arrived at Rogue Motorsport, by this point they'd come up with a seat mount design but needed a car to test on, fortunately @Deacon had his car booked in the following week, so they used his OEM sliding frame mechanism to test their first prototype, which @Deacon ran for a few weeks before he suggested a couple of changes to the seat position, so he's now running V2 of the seat mount. I was booked in a couple of weeks after this, rather then Rogue making a new prototype they asked if I could try the V1 prototype mount for a couple of weeks and report back my findings. I'll update the thread in due course, unfortunately due to everything thats going on at the moment, I haven't driven the car alot.
Whilst I was at Rogue they changed my brake & clutch fluid along with replacing my dodgy coilpack, which they then covered with a heat resistance/reflective material (all four coilpacks were covered). Which should hopefully stop the issue from happening again, if not they will try fabricating a metal plate to try and block the heat. They also might have found a couple of blows on my ACE CS400 exhaust manifold, however they won't know this until they can remove it, they didn't want to do this as my manifold has been on about 4 years and thought the gaskets might disintegrate, I need to source some replacements.
Here are some pictures of the seat and the seat mount:

My BRZ had its 40,000 mile service today and passed its first MOT.  Much more relaxed about the supercharger and 1st decat getting through the emissions testing now.

Bit of a follow up now on the turbo as although it’s only been a few days I have spent far to long in the car for my liking.
i think it is a great mod and really now feel this is how the car should’ve been from the factory or offered as an upgrade R type model or something.
the boost picks up really well and comes on nice and strong, it is so smooth though I would imagine it’s very similar to a supercharger.
paired with the super res cat back the exhaust note has really calmed down, Mike thought it was to quiet. But after a disaster at cadwell I was pleased it was running as it was on a late night run across the country. You get the nice induction noise as the turbo starts spoiling and the classic pssst when letting off, I had mine recirculated back into the system and you can still hear this fine inside the car.

also had the TD oil cooler fitted and this dropped my temps a good 20-30degress, before long road trips I would sit at 105-110 where as now it seems about 85. At my last track outing my oil got to almost 130degrees and this was at about 2degrees ambient air temp. Yesterday it was at 90-100 or so max

Full decat with the TD super res cat back and had the turbo plumbed back in rather than a screamer pipe. It is quite quiet but I think I prefer it now feels very oem

As seems to be the running theme here, I am now on my way back up to TD to collect the car after leaving it there for the past 10days.
Couldn’t help myself so decided it was time to stick the Turbo on, got their oil cooler too.
excited is an understatement and then the car is over to cadwell park tomorrow 😀

Nice project!  I always thought the sort of red that Toyota have shown for the GR Yaris would look good on a GT86, not sure whether it'd work with a BRZ 'tache though. 😉

Indeed, exactly this. Trouble is for me, the running costs of a V8 would be high, given I like to spend a lot of time in my cars. A V8 could only be an occasional use car for me. Can run the Yaris like I have the GT86 given it's a similar price and ought to have similar running costs.

I'm trying to work out whether I'd rather tick the box of a V8 whilst they're still vaguely acceptable, but I suspect we won't ever see anything like this Yaris again (or at least, not with a petrol engine). It's a tough one.

I made an initial deposit yesterday of £500 in an effort to get an early build slot when things start happenning.
Went for Pure White with  Circuit Pack. No other other options at present. That may change, we shall see. There will be a UK unveil at Goodwood FOS in July, with dealer demos in October. Delivery is January 2021, but it could move forward to November. Really excited!
Got a brochure as well! 🤣

Each driver has a crossover to only handle its frequency range.  Since the tweeter is only handling the treble range, adding a midrange driver only handling the midrange frequencies will not impact the overall average impedance of 4 ohms across the spectrum.
What I want is vocal clarity as I'm not looking for a hi-fi installation what with my noisy engine and the poor cabin environment of any car.  The Focals are good but the door units are not bass monsters and the top-dash tweeters are considerably better than the stock item but leave a hole in the midrange.
After all, when I get home I have the big rig to give me what I want...

Good lord! That lot probably cost as much as your car! You don't need in-car stereo at all - you can probably hear your home stereo from wherever you're driving.

    Hello everyone!
@spikyone thanks for the tip. I wrote them an email asking for a quote including shipping to Spain and they answer really fast, not used to that speed here in Spain
@Church good tips and ideas, I'm going to take a look to those option and search where I can find them.
@Daninplymouth I already own a fantastic oil cooler (Blitz) and BTW my issue is that the oil during the trackday don't move from the 90 /95 degrees (Celsius) mark.
@will300 I'm going to take a look to those coilovers

In general for everyone I used to race with RC cars and what I learned is that going for top parts allow me to don't spend the money twice, I follow that mental process here with big cars but yes is true that the difference is so big.
My car is only driven to and back of the track and twice a year I go to Benidorm (quite famous spanish place for UK as far as I know  ) so I'm ok not having a super comfortable ride, with some limits of course.
Again, thanks for all your help.
