Iceman 0 Report post Posted February 3, 2021 How much costs a fully service for GT86 2019 version? Toyota sayd 300 pounds basic and 500 major service. My mechanic told me the parts are expensive but I see them cheap, not bad from toyota sales parts. Normally a fully service by my mechanic goes around 350 pounds, basic around 200 :)) That amounts charge me when I was with the audi before. A5 from 2013 3 doors petrol 184 HP. If somebody has got waranty on his car then you can make service with the trusted mechanic but he must be VAT registered and use original parts if not waranty gets lost. Is any aplication or website where comes the maintenance schedule to make properly? Manual should say all details but sometimes we can miss something to do, or the mechanic understand when let him know to make full service he change all necesary things? VAD17 479 Report post Posted February 3, 2021 I prefer my GT86 being serviced by a specialist rather than any Toyota dealership. Tuning Developments for example is nearly 50% cheaper than what you've been quoted by Toyota (although there is risk you'll end up buying few other bits if you visit Mike ).Tbh, my car has not been serviced by Toyota dealership once in nearly 4yrs of ownership (and I get it serviced every 6mth as I have turbo kit and regularly track it).As long as genuine service parts are used the warranty should not be affected (I had few minor bits fixed and battery replaced under warranty).Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk 1 Iceman reacted to this

NJay 10 Report post Posted February 4, 2021 I suspect they (Toyota) would argue coilovers voids the warranty on the suspension and possible the steering as it allows geometry changes outside of spec that could affect both of those?

I'd echo this to be honest, i've got my car booked in for it's 5th year (minor) service and it's roughly half what you've been quoted by Toyota.

gazza82 41 Report post Posted February 24, 2021 4 year service done today (Subaru dealer so my credit card is in hiding! Damn VAT too) Diff oil and brake fluid changed. 0-20W put back this time as they used 5-30 last. I wish I could find them a shorter oil filter and then my Perrin cover might actually fit!! MartinT 514 Report post Posted February 24, 2021 Abbey Motorsport for all my services now. They use 5W-30 in mine as it's the correct spec for supercharger engines.
Subota Boy 402 Report post Posted February 25, 2021 Cosworth also recommend 5/30 spec.
gazza82 41 Report post Posted February 25, 2021 mine is NA .. so 0/20W is specified .. Plus I have a couple of litres where ECP screwed up and delivered the wrong stuff when I ordered 5/40 Petronos oil for the other halfs Alfa .. Although given it uses pretty much nothing in 10k miles it's not likely to use any until this cr@ppy lockdown is ended .. managed just over 3k in last 12 months
NJay 10 Report post Posted May 5, 2021 Anyone got the link to the Toyota 5+ club registration? I thought it was under servicing on the Toyota UK site but I can't find it anywhere?

NJay 10 Report post Posted May 5, 2021 Thanks and have confirmation email. Found similar link via a few dealer websites but it's strange that any direct link on Toyota UK site has been removed. Even the blog about it that still up links to the service page that doesn't mention it any more lol I suspect Toyota UK are quietly pulling it 🙄
Beney86 10 Report post Posted May 5, 2021 I looked through the service history of my vehicle after i bought it, all serviced by Toyota. wrong oil used every time, Diff oil, gear box, brake fluid, nothing was changed ever at any of the correct intervals or just missed completely. First thing i did was buy all the fluids myself and book it into a local garage so I know from my ownership it'll all be followed correctly from a fresh start.
