Clutch oil

Recommended Posts

Hi guys and gals.

whilst perving in the engine bay I noticed the clutch oil is pretty low. As this is the first Toyota Iv owned just wondering what is the best to use?

thanks

Pretty sure you can just use brake fluid, DOT4 should be fine... It might even state it on the filler cap.

On the filler cap just says brake fluid, don’t state which grade. I do have some Mobil dot 4 about so may top it up with that then. 👍🏻

Always check the user manual first. And the above answers are right. I would not recommend you to use old fluid as its hygroscopic and has a limited shelf life , once opened.
