willclarke 50 Report post Posted May 24, 2020 Looking at options for adding a sub, and there are some 'slim' subwoofers which are under 70mm depth, anyone know if this will fit under drivers seat in ours cars? This would work best if I could find one that fitted instead of one in the boot as don't want to take up space. Anyone know how much room we have under the drivers seat (with seat at lowest) on these? Cheers Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk
spikyone 139 Report post Posted May 24, 2020 Don't know whether 70mm will fit but I have a Kicker HS8, which doesn't fit under the seat so it's in the passenger footwell. The internet suggests the HS8 is roughly 80mm deep.
Ade 517 Report post Posted June 4, 2020 There is very limited space under the seat. I have a couple genesis profile amplifers under my seats. They are 40mm high and I mounted them on 9mm MDF glued to the floor. They just clear catching the seat near the rails. I opted to make a moulded sub box in the boot that sits flush with the liner Sub Box1 by Adrian Carter, on Flickr Resin Base by Adrian Carter, on Flickr Finished box by Adrian Carter, on Flickr Sub in place by Adrian Carter, on Flickr Finished by Adrian Carter, on Flickr
