RetroBeast 1 Report post Posted April 17, 2020 Hi there, was sat in my Toyota GT86 today when I discovered after the alarm has been going off on a daily basis I thought this could be something to do with it? But It would help if I actually knew what it was... Anyone got an idea? Thanks in advance
86iain 44 Report post Posted April 17, 2020 Tis the alarm keypad. If it's going off a lot, try inspecting the switch under the bonnet. The bracket is a tad flimsy and can get bent enough so the switch doesn't do switching things. Also, I'm not 100% but will the alarm go off with low battery voltage too? You have things in your glove box too, you absolute rebel. I don't use mine at all. I hate things slopping about and making noise. 1 RetroBeast reacted to this
Church 209 Report post Posted April 17, 2020 Depends on how many things thus how tight packed, how soft are they and how smart they are packed. In most cases they shouldn't produce much noise, unless one goes over big bumps, but in later case that noise will drawn in other noises (of this car relatively cheap and rattlish interior) anyway. I keep in glovebox many things that might get handy within cabin, such as sunglass pouch, parking clock sign, pass, usb flash (have rerouted usb connector from mid console to dash), alcohol tester, hardprint map and such (mid console recess for me usually is filled with coffee thermos anyway).
