keelerad 256 Report post Posted June 14, 2013 As it was getting colder started to get worried about my first RWD (car) winter Decided I wanted a second set of rims to put Winter rubber on as I wanted 16" for greater choice and cheaper and I didn't want to risk my decent OEM alloys Managed to find a set of ex-Imprezza 16" for £38 on e-bay (that's for all 4!) see here for other possibilities http://www.wheelfitment.eu/car/Toyota/GT%2086%20(2012%20-%20)/ or click image below for link Went to Liverpool to get them and could fit them all in the car (checked the neighbourhood for a Scoobie up on bricks but no sign) Got them home and tried them to make sure they cleared the front calipers and steering rods OEM's 17" diameter 7" wide 48mm offset, 5 studs 100mm PCD (see http://www.alloyguide.com/pcd.php if you don't know what PCD or offset are) Cheapies, 16" same width, 5mm more offset, but as I was going down 10 mm in width (205 rather than 215) not a worry. Aspect ratio up from 45 to 55 to adjust for the smaller 16" rim and give just about the same rolling diameter. For checking the numbers use this sitehttp://www.willtheyfit.com/ Same hub centres Just needed some tyres then, got these Avon Ice Tourings all 4 fitted for just over £300 from Tyrz in Bollington It's the little mountain symbol you're after, that's the real winter tyre certification mark rather than all seasons All done, I'd bought some bags for storing the OEM's and they all fitted in the car, Final touch was some stickers I had made to cover up the Subaru on the centre caps
