Info needed : Gap size between Roof and Roof-lining

Hi,

 

Without me tearing apart the car to check, does anyone have an estimate of how big the gap roughly is between the roof lining and the actual roof?

I think that @will300has removed the headlining to install sound deadening so he'll know more. If not check out his build thread. From what I've explored it's between 5-10mm.

I need to sound deaden it, so wondering what material would be idea to use + how many layer I can do etc etc
