Sun_Zenith 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2019 Hi, I’m new here (I used to be on the owners club but find the forums unusable after they were updated a while ago). Anyway, I might be moving to Europe for a job and I’d like to take my GT86. However, the country regulations are strict so I don’t think I could register it there, and instead was planning to run UK plates on it (legally it can be done for a year). However no car insurance there will insure UK plates. I have spoken to eu wide cover providers here such as Stuart Collins, but they won’t cover me as my GT86 is modified (engine retune, updated exhaust etc). So I’m in a bit of a pickle, I really don’t want to get rid of my GT86. Is anyone aware of U.K. based insurance companies that will cover modified cars on a long term eu wide basis? Sun_Zenith 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2019 I’m already with them. They do short term eu insurance (ie if you are going on holiday), but they insist the insurance will have to be cancelled if I move to the eu.
