TomsGT86 2 Report post Posted November 5, 2019 Learnt a hard lesson last Saturday night that you should just drink and leave the car at home rather than not drinking and driving! Someone had cut across my car leaving some lovely scrapes on my front bumper and even better damaging and cracking my Seibon carbon front splitter! The bumper i'm not so concerned about as its relatively 'cheap' to sort out but the splitter is another story! Does anyone know of a company in the North East that repairs carbon? 1 Jay reacted to this
nerdstrike 186 Report post Posted November 5, 2019 How tragic! My cars have sustained more damage while parked than on the move. People suck. FWIW I don't hold high hopes for carbon fibre repair. You can't exactly knit the fibres back together, but it might be possible to hide the damage to a casual observer.
sam534 62 Report post Posted November 5, 2019 Carbon won't be repairable without filling and painting over. You can fill in the damage with resin that will stop it cracking but you won't be able to put in new weaveSent from my COL-L29 using Tapatalk 1 Deacon reacted to this
