Not sure whether this'll interest you but here's a V8 engine swap article and there's more info on other ideas in the comments - http://www.speedhunters.com/2015/06/enjoying-the-scenery-at-11600rpm/

Thanks for that, I'll have a read, any idea how hard it is to source a rolling shell at all? We plan to rocket bunny it and build it from the ground up, doesn't need interior or engine gearbox etc nothing, just the shell, can even be with out the bonnet and front wings as long as the interior is water tight

There's a build thread on the pistonheads forums where a guy got hold of a CAT C or D writeoff deliberately so that he could mod it. That might be the way to go, I'm sure there'll be writeoffs around, if you want to use it on the road you'll need to make sure that the writeoff category is one where it can be fixed and put back on the road, the categories have changed but this used to be CAT C or D.

Hi @Rob@FrankieJ's

It'll be worth having a read of both @smudge build thread and @Samwise build thread (could be the one @ttjt16 is referring to).

With regards to a shell, speak to the guys at Roger Clark Motorsport (the Subaru specialist) https://rogerclarkmotorsport.co.uk, as they had one they were selling recently.

It might also be worth speaking to the guys at Turbo Monkeys as they buy alot of salvage cars to sell on / do up. https://www.facebook.com/Turbomonkeytuning/

Finally here are a couple of companies that have done engine swaps on an 86/BRZ (that I'm aware of), Carson performance, MnM Engineering, Rogue Motorsport & Turbo Monkeys.

Also worth a read is Nigel's build thread:

Thank you guys, I'll have a read through tonight, once we get a she'll we can get moving quickly, my mate has a cousin based in America, so we'll accumulate the parts there and I work in tye transport business as a courier with links for cheap shipping so this will be the best way to go, as looking around parts for this conversion seems scarcely available here.

I've only seen positive reviews about Turbo Monkeys recently, they recently built 2 V8s, both with the UZ engine from the Lexus as far as I know.
